Cheating on games make games boring

I always use cheats in games like age of empires, command and conquer.

Sadly I don't have 4 hours to build an empire, so extra cash and construction time removed help Dios play a game in 1 hour :)

Maybe if I beat the game, then I will use some cheats.

For GTA though it's a bit different. I will use cheats to get certain cars/helicopters.

I remember, I wanted to use cheats, when i played Doom3 for the 1st time, but the game kept owning me, and wasn't opening the console :P i got stuck at portal with 2 Hellknights coming out. It was so irritating that i stopped playing for some time, then tried again from the very beginning and made it (same game, so no console and no cheats).

aye anything that improves the gaming experience for all involved is surely a good thing

Moved from Outer World to Gaming Hotspot. I felt it was more suiting there.

I think cheating can be fun but only when you REplay the game over :) If you play a game for the first time you shouldn't cheat :}

It really depends what game it is as people posted above, Grand Theft Auto is a prime example of a game that I enjoy cheating on simply because I get more enjoyment out of the cheats than half the missions, I thoroughly enjoy just flying around in the Hydra and try to see how close I can get through obstacles like tree's, buildings, bridges and so on, sounds boring but once you've finished the game and you have nothing else to do but kill time then your bound to dive into some sort of glitch or cheat and increase enjoyment in some way, shape or form.

Agreed.
People that cheat because they are too lazy to finish the SP Campaign on their own deserve no respect.

What about games like BF2 which it's impossible to finish because you cannot reach any goals, it's either win or lose, unless you play on the internet in which then you gain ranks, but in SP mode you can't unlock anything.

Yeah i would definetly say cheating makes the game boring, but after a while of playing and if you have previously completed it, cheating can spice the game up.

Another good reason for cheating is installing C&C 3 - Kane's Wrath and remembering you didnt save the saved games folder and have to start all over again :juggle:
