Hi! I wanted to ask you people where to get C&C3 server files (do they exist?), because i want to make a small network to play with my friends (there are some problems with hamachi...), maybe anyone knows where to get them, or maybe someone have them?
It is not an mmorpg, there are no "server files".
So you are saying that if I have a game I can make a network?
He's saying that mmorpg's are the only games which have server files. And C&C 3 isn't a mmoprg... So no server files.
So how do I host a network? :P

Well i got friend from all country and cable is not a solution :)) and hamachi we are having serrious trouble... So i wanted to host a server, and that would be a solution ;)
did youi not get the impression that there are no server files...no server files = no server. hamachi is the only option. ive used to places 4000miles+ away. no probs at all.
Yeah, but there are server like Starcraft and Warcraft. They are not MMORPG, but still there are private gaming servers...
And by the way, with hamachi you won't host many players...

but its a gad damn stategy and just admit that u have pirate copy of game, no retail serial and u cant access to online game. Thats the only conclusion i can figure out whi u so badly need some non - exsiting so calld "server files". Btw ... u say it cant host many ppl? Id like to see you playng with 60 person in one map.

Well, I don't think Stacraft is mmorpg... It is a stategy game just like C&C...
I understand WORLD OF Warcraft was the first warcraft game published in your life time, but let me assure you there are warcraft 1-3 (1 ftw btw ;)) and those aren't RPG of any sorts by far. I don't have the slightest clue about whether they have "server files" available though.
A more correct answer to his question, I doubt there are C&C 3 server files available because 1) very low demand 2) westwood probably will never leak the official ones 3) because of 1, no one wants to put their time into coding an emulation.
Again, I've never played C&C3 and don't know how their internet game lounge looks like and how it works, but hosting a server that takes care of connections to that lounge, manages chat and games, is what's in search here, and not so much the kind of server we're used to seeing here on RZ. Have a little open-mindedness, people..

Uh yeah, I meant world of warcraft. And Warcraft I, II, III are different because they have a master server. Something C&C 3 doesn't have. (Not sure)
Here's how to solve your problem. Read the manual. There is a section on it about direct connection for online games. Read it and follow it. Simple as that.

I think hes talking about bnetd (the battle.net server emulation project that got shut down by Blizzard) in terms of StarCraft/WarCraft servers.
Not really needed for C&C3 as in the LAN section of the game there is a built-in lobby function and it lists all the games that are being hosted.
there is a way you can set up your own sorta like server because my parents do on C&C yuri's revenge thats y X-wis took over from westwood as they were getting more people on their "servers" this can also be done with WC3 & WC3 FT as my brother does this for some of his real life m8's

(also for the guy above me your talking about Lan = Local area network i.e people on same router as you this ant possible if they ant connected to the same router)
This discussion is going nowhere, so I am locking it. There are no "server files" for C&C, and try to get a legitimate version before you ask such questions again - in fact don't ask questions like that in this section.
