So I'm playing League of Legends for a long time now. I was wondering if anyone here is playing it also. I'd be very happy to see if someone does. It's really fun, I'd like to find some friends in RZ also.

The difference?
None, except that DoTA is the only one of the three with any originality.
LoL and HoN are rip-offs and copycats. Undeniable.
Don't argue that the gameplay is better.

The fact is, Dota has it's limitations to what WC3 was capable of doing - the people who created HoN and LoL had more flexibility of furthering that.Originally Posted by AkaInRed

LoL is Unique, but it's the same idea.
Both has developers from DotA.
Pendragon works for LoL
Icefrog works for HoN
I preffer LoL, hard to describe why, I just like the whole gameplay better. You say it's copycat? Because the developers from DotA is working there.

p.s. probably because LoL players aren't as skilled as the original dota players, in which case, probably also the HoN players now.

Icefrog does not work for HoN. Icefrog work for Valve, and Dota2 is in the making.
As for LoL, tried it, the game pace wasn't fast enough for me.
League of Legends is a completely different game using the same style of gameplay. Defence of the Ancients is in a way a style of gameplay like Tower Defence and things like that.
League of Legends has quite a bit thats different from DotA:
- No denying
- Summoner skills
- Brush to hide in for ganking
- Buffs for killing neutrals
- No Tower aggro when you attack it
- Passive and active abilities for skills
- Free recalls
- Attack power and Ability Power.
- Heroes aren't int, agi, str based
LOL != DotA
I have no favourite as I enjoy playing both.

Yeah I heard that, but he's been working for HoN as well.
You need to play with different tactics as theres a lot of brushes in the game. A lot of tactics includes playing with it. But since you never tried it, why are you raging against the game then? The difficulty can be discussed, but thats not what always make the game enjoyable. The teamwork is the actual key to victory.

I play all dota, hon, lol and i must say they are all so much different, sure hon is "more like" dota than lol but lol was designed to be casual, easy to pick for peoples who never really managed to get it on with dota and it has succeed with that.
hon was designed to be an "improved version" of dota with more complex stuff you never could do with wc3 engine and its succeed with that.
Cant really say which one is better but i can tell you that ill probably never go back to dota anymore. maybe dota 2 though.

You can't compare it.
Dota and lol got nothing in common but an idea to destroy each other's base. Thats it. Which means, you cant really compare these 2 games. It's like saying, "Prototype is for people who suck at GTA.." even if the idea behind it (to kill shit) is the same (;

Yeah...I'm learning how to play...any recommendations? Heroes? I only have Warcraft III prior experience and MS, anything you can tell me e.g. tips so I can have a chance of beating my friends?
