Just look at the PS1 emulators, they never got 1 working properly, but Sony made a loader (not even a emulator) that worked simply perfect with PS1 games.

A touchscreen is just a layer over the LCD screen, you aren't pressing on the LCD screen directly. Basicly you could attach a touchscreen the same way that some screenprotectors are attached. Then you would need to do some shit inside it, and the PSP itself would need a hacked firmware.
And yeah it would still be a PSP, i use a hacked firmware, i just use the regular XMB operating system, but it just allows me to do more. Any mods inside the PSP won't have any effects on the outside, and the touchscreen could be removed.
So nothing changes about the way you use a PSP now, you can just do more with it.
Lots of people already mod their PSP's, it's pretty cool with how much they can do with it.

I have Pokemanz Diamond and I got level 100's like mew mewtwo deoxys, I think all of them except the new ones, there about level 50, I transferd them from my saphire to me diamond, I am da Pokemonz Master !!!!!!!!!!
But unfortanetly, i think my friend stole my diamond, because he got all excited when he saw me diamond and after I let him see my ds I think he took both sap and Dia from the ds and after a day or two I realized they were gone, he says he didn't but I think he did, or I might have just lost both of them
