Another way to beat Ruby (however I have not tried this so I'm not sure if it works)

You can obtain an item called dazers from the enemies at the beginning of the downed gelnika. There are other places to get them, but get as much as you can (W Item to duplicate to 99 is recommended).

Now, go to the Shinra Mansion and fight the totem pole scale looking enemies. You attack and the scale shifts making them resistant to that type of attack (physical or magic). Have at least 2 enemy skills on a character and hope the enemy hits them with a skilled called "??????" which is the way to beat Ruby even at low levels. This skill is like Minus Strike from FFIX and similar abilities have shown up in previous FF games. What it does is guarantee that the damage inflicted to the enemy is equal to your max HP minus your current amount. So, before you fight Ruby, find two characters that can get up to 9999 HP or about. Several HP Plus materias will do this even on low HP characters.

Now, equip those two with the enemy skill and kill them off in an outside battle. As you know, killing two characters will make Ruby dig its claws into the ground. The great thing is this is the perfect setup for the ?????? ability. Revive them with a Phoenix Down from Cloud right from the beginning of battle and they'll have low HP. Now, with ??????, you can do about 9500+ HP damage every time you use it with those two characters.

What were the dazers for? Have Cloud throw them at Ruby and they will always paralyze Ruby for about 2 or 3 turns of battle. Now, as two characters use ??????, Cloud should pay attention to Ruby and as soon as he starts moving, throw another dazer.

Keep doing this and the battle will be over in about 10 minutes.

quite cool 2 c the ff7 1s, its been awhile since i completed it now, but the ffx 1s r sumwot pointless, can just go to the sphere theatre in luca lol

hmm i cant see the point in defeating ruby.... u get a golden chocobo.... so what... u already have one since u have Kotrt... :P

I've seen the FFVII movie its really good maybe a bit short but good love the bikes :D

gotta watch FMV's in game, they are just so much better.
