This is Nice.But What I am really looking forward to is FFXII ;o 11/14 people.

FF9 didnt quite have the storyline or even gameplay that the others had, i mean the summon system was weird as hell, fighting was changed, graphics, eveything, didnt feel like an FF based game, i mean a fatass queen trying to rule, a tiny girl, and a monkey-boy, weird?

What girls in FFVI-IX were butch, tbh ;) Terra, Celes, Aerith, Yuffie, Tifa, Rinoa, Quistis, Selphie, Garnet, and Beatrix are all cuties. In FFX and X-2, I'd say Rikku is the only one that holds a candle to these ladies.

BTW, Relm (FFVI) and Eiko (FFIX) don't count :P As they are children..

FFIX was defo a different style than the others, especially following VII and VIII, but I still enjoyed it. The story was a bit wacky ("Hardest" Boss was a ball lol).. Anyway, it's all in the mind.

If I am tbh more, I didn't really like FFVIII that much. First time I played it, I got into it, but got sidetracked and came back a few months later and didn't like it anymore. I lost my save file while later, tried a new game, and didn't really enjoy it.

the story
the characters
the battle system (alright, i know i know, only the "limits" where stupid)
that knight thing dude, ugh made me puke
and whats up with those flying wizard pumpkin thingys

I think I've heard somewhere that the new ff remake isn't a game at all but it's actually a long fmv movie. If it turns out to a movie I'm definitely seeing it.

I played all FF since the 1 for nintendo. Nice game, And any remake of this game could be great.

My top 5 FF games: FFIV - FFVI - FFVII - FFVIII - FFX.

So any remake could be great.

But instead of a remake they should make 2 things:

1 - A new saga with the name. And this new saga should be linked games. Like Phantasy star (you play PS1 and the history continues at PS2)

2 - Continue the FF style with FFXIII, FFXVI... and so on, where we don't have any real link between the plots...

Anyways... having new FF is already good to me

Would love a remake, even if they added bits to it it would make it a newer experience. Def thumbs up to it!

OK i dont know why people are still going on about the ps3 tech demo.FF7 IS NOT BEING REMADE.Square are about the only company that actually stick to what they say and they said it was nothing more than a video made to show off the ps3(remember we dont even know if those are ingame graphics,which i really doubt they are)I admit it would be nice of them but the only ay your gonna get anything extra outta ff7 is to get the PC version and mod it(as ive been trying to do with little success)

You are partially correct; Sony did not consider a Final Fantasy 7 remake untill there was such a buzz on the internet that there would be one. I remember three or four years ago some guy, who I thought was a friend, would harass me constantly about the "remake," which I always told him was baseless.

I don't really see why they are remaking this game, I surely won't buy it with my Playstation 3. They will have to make some sersious modifications to dissuade my current oppinion; real time combat and a better script, perhaps a thicker plot.

Anything is possible... Weirder things have happened :)

Especially when something is popular.. Take the return of Family Guy, for instance. The show was stinking up the ratings, so they took it off. Then the DVD's sold like crazy... Now, it's back. Yes, its a different situation, but popularity can persuade many ;)

i think FFXI was far too girly and girl power, also very badly laid out, i hated this the most! , and i think mabee FFX was the best with that sphere game , i played it alone for hours!

mutation, FFXI is online, i think your talkin about FFX-2 and i agree, i think it was the worst. Also Blitzball was an awsome game, very creative idea and very fun.

This is true, and since FFVII is pretty much the most popular FF game. They may do it, and if they do many people will buy it just because its FFVII.
