silent hill?
When I was 3 or 4 years old my dad got a game for us kids called 'Math Blaster!' to play on his MS-DOS 486... fun times.
Loved this game. One of two games I ever had for the Sega GameGear (the other being a Sonic one).
I also loved goin to my buddy's house at age 5 to play the TMNT Arcade game for the NES.
N64 was my first console, but other than that i had a race car game.
But the first game I ever played was a golf game on some accient console like the Sega or whatever which when you went to hit the ball it skipped frames lol, so it was like HIT > 2 seconds later the club was half way to the ball and then another 2 seconds later the ball was down the fairway.
Jazz Jack Rabbit 2 xd
DOOM. The instant classic.
Half life!
I still play the first spyro game occasionally =p
Legend of Zelda, Nights, Liylat Wars ^^
/Fate
smb1,zelda1,moon landing, and alot of c64 classics (giana sisters, bruce lee etc..)

What, the grandpa has once been young, too? :icon6:
When I was young?
I grew up on the Atari 2600 [god that make me sound old >_<; ] with games like Centipede, Pitfall, pac-man, and so forth.
Then the NES, with the usual well known games on it.
Me first 'PC' was the Atari ST. Great computer, played games like Monkey Island, Dangerous Dan, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Ghouls and Goblins, Turrican, etc. on it.
Got the Mega Drive in the early 90s, with the usual batch of games like Sonic and so forth. Along with me first PC of some unknown brand [PineApple or something], where I had me first taste of DOOM, let alone a lot of Adventure games that played with proper sounds using "Sound Blaster" woot! :P
Never bought the SNES because me nextdoor friend had one, just jumped over the fence if I ever wanted to play on it :P
Curiously, no one mentioned these consoles, the Atari Jaguar and Neo.Geo consoles to which I both owned. Great games on them like AvP on the Jaguar, and Samurai Showdown on the NG. Only draw backs were that they were friggin expensive at their time.
Also had the PS1, N64 and the Dream Cast before 2000. The DC was an amazing console considering it had the same capabilities of the PS2, and was released 2 years earlier.
...
Miss those days. :(
Speaking of Arcades, no one's mentioned games on those :o
Looooooooads of amazing games on them... but honestly names atm are blank in me head XD
Gauntlet, Outrun, Commando, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Dark Stalkers, Dungeons and Dragons series, Bubble Bobble, Operation Wolf, Smash TV, Street Fighter [the #1 Arcade game for ages]... Daytona USA, Metal Slug? :P
Akuruz played every game in existence. he's been around since the first computer was made. Oldy :P
Shadow Fire, Lords of Midnight, Doomdarks Revenge, Elite, Bards Tale Trilogy, UFO
I have forgotten to add, who remembers destruction derby, for the PS1, that game was crazy, you'd do the same track a few thousand times to destroy everyone.
Meh @ Destruction Derby...
Carmageddon was way more fun than DD. Massive maps, crazy stuff and customizations with power ups.
Beats DD hands down with great graphics for it's time, car physics, awesome metal music and online multiplayer :P
Mind you, it's not kid friendly to say the least... XD

Most enjoyable old games (talking before we had 3D games) would have to be Skyroads and Doom.
I still remember getting owned so bad on Skyroads, basicly you had all these blocks with different powers further up in the game, 1 of them was red, obviously for destruction, but because my monitor was greyscale i couldn't see the difference... it was until like 3 months later when 1 of my brothers finally got that far that i saw it was a red block...
Mind you btw that back then we weren't really used to these things, so i just didn't think of it.
Forgot to mention, Point Blank for the PS1.
Awesome.
i used to play LOZ when i was eight on my gameboy colour like always.
I played LOZ on the NES. ;] Good times. Good times.
Donkey Kong on Nintendo64, and of course Super Mario 64<33
SNES, Super Mario KArt, That Game Was SOOOO BALLLLERRRR
Oh and i forgot pokemon on the gameboy. version red was my favorite xD
