got a question for diehard pc gamers

when the xbox 360 comes out, will you be staying computer? or drifting over to the console world?

i figure that by next year a 40" widescreen tv will be 700 dollars since right nwo they are at 800-900.

an xbox 360 will be 349 dollars

and a surround sound system will be 200-300 dollars

in total this will cost 1200-1300 dollars and provide hi-def 48 pipeline gaming

or will you go with the new nvidia 7 series and ati r520 chip for the pc with half the pipelines?

just wanna know cause im thinking of going completely console with the next-gen systems

going by your pricing logic, it would be much more enjoyable to go console imo

If the 360 ran XBOX 1 games, i'm sure more people would buy it. But if you notice, the pc outlives any console..
where's the atari? Gone but the pc's still here
where's the Sega Megadrive? Gone but the pc's still here
where's the dreamcast? Gone but the pc's still here
    where's the :censored2 ? Gone but the pc's still downloading pr0n!

On that point, I dunno if it's worth mentioning, but for those that don't already know -- the Xbox 360 and PS3 will both be backwards compatible. (i.e - they can play old games from those systems.)

Btw, I'm no hardcore gamer - but I'd still stick with the PC. Just my opinion. :D

    Erhmm not yet...

Q: What games will be available at launch?

Microsoft says a wide range of games will be ready for when the 360 hits the shops. It is working on several titles such as Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power and Project Gotham Racing 3.

Game makers are working on next-generation versions of popular franchises such as Need for Speed, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Madden NFL and Call of Duty. What is still unclear is whether you will be able to play current Xbox games on the 360. Microsoft is aiming to make the console "backwards compatible" but has yet to make this work
But anyways. Let's hope they get it to work :D

maybe there will be a bluetooth keyboard and mouse for the xbox!!!!!

imagine if WoW gets ported over and connects to the exact same "master server"

i would dance like a little girl

plus maybe half-life 2 will come out and cs source will be on a big screen.

i know quake 4 is gonna kick ass.

plus its hd will be able to store all your music on it!!!!!!!!

    Definitely sticking with PC.

However, I've been saying this time and time again, its gonna boil down to each person's preference. One will opt to be a gamer through and through, and another person will go console once in a while but sticking to the PC. However, the PC is such a versatile piece, you can do ALMOST ANYTHING meanwhile the console is PURELY gaming, movie, and some whizzbang stuff.

But once again, its a matter on LIFESTYLE. You're a kickass gamer, go console. If you do other stuff than just gaming, go PC. If you don't know what you are, then GO FIGURE!

    PEACE!

PC... i'll still stay with pc... consoles are limited to what the developer wants... tweak it and you'll get a junky (and burnout) console in the matter of time... pc can do various of things though...

But that's my view... for a hardcore gamer, his/her view will be vary... ^.^

    i can't mod on console
    can't use tsearch on console
can't use the mouse on the console (mouse > controler on shooter games)
very hard to pirate/burn console games :P

and most of all, can't ditch out 300 bucks for something that will be only used for my gaming purposes.

xbox 360 wasn't tempting to me at all... few years later everyone will be hyped about the next system, 360 will be then forgoten... unlike the console, pc gamers get hyped more by the games, not the hardware component.

Hehe. good t'see ya on RZ. and giving out your "wise words" once again.
Consol games are much better in general than any of PCs. Indeed, i'd rather play with mouse than using controllers.. but still, having a consol can experience games that can't be experienced on PCs.
