Let's clear something out. They can't release everything in one game. That would brankrupt them in 2 years. Even if they know about the features , and they know how to do it , they won't , because that's the point of developing something , always leave place for updates , for nice ones. And if not updates , why not a whole new version of it. More money!
It's like technology. Everything is way ahead than you would have imagined. But they won't release it , because that would ruin the market , and people wouldn't buy the old crap.

New info
Spoiler:
General:
The camera will zoom out and pan away to your online character seamlessly. During the animation, a matchmaking process will be in progress.
You can do almost anything you can do in single player in GTA Online.
You can change weather, time of day, time you want it to rain or to be a certain weather state, radio station to be tuned at the start of the race or mission in the Content Creator.
You can watch races and deathmatches on your apartment TV.
There are masks to hide from the cops.
The Online will be run on the Social Club servers, data will be stored on the cloud. There are datacenters from NY to San Diego, and more Rockstar studios.
Missions:
Each mission requires a rank depending on difficulty and complexity. The bigger your rank, the more difficult the missions will be.
There are around 700 missions in GTA Online. 500 will be available to play on release, as more will be added eventually.
Missions will be ordered randomly as you play Online.
Multiplayer:
For certain heists you might need certain weapons, vehicles or characters such as a sniper or a driver. This will also depend on the mission creator if you download the mission from the Social Club.
Some missions are so complex they need plenty of good communication.
There will be descriptions to help each character on its heist function.
There is something called "team lives". If you have 4 team lives and 4 people, if everyone dies there will be 0 lives left, or if you die 4 times, the team will have 0 lives left, which means if anyone dies, it's mission failed.

I've been waiting for ages for RS to incorporate SP features into the MP. It's about time.

Well since you put it that way, I can agree with you. I think if they added all the features that are possible, they would have nothing good for the DLCs. They release the game with restricted features, make a lot of money, add a few of these features in, make more money, etc. And this isn't just for DLCs but also for future games

I do recall there being a rumour about TakeTwo being bankrupt, around 1 year ago. Obviously it was proven to be false, with the development of GTA V.

GTA V is going to create billions for the company. This is a highly anticipated game, just imagine how many people are just waiting for buy this game! Even if it goes out of stock the first day, someone might list a copy of the game for auction on a website such as eBay, the bids would go up very quickly (I assume)

I love the updates they're putting into the game - also I agree with the person who said they can't release everything in one game, which they can't! If they did that the company would indeed be bankrupt because they would run out of ideas on what to put into the game.

Every release of GTA is a highly anticipated game. Back in the days when they was releasing GTA San Andreas , everyone was playing it , and saying , this is the best so far. It's the point of sand box games , they are awesome , and playable for a long time , but people get bored of it afterwards , and something new always make them return and want more. See Minecraft , except minecraft is really slow with the updates. It took them almost a year to add the horses , when it was available since 1.2 in Mo' creatures with a bunch of other things they never added , or probably never will.

Yeah I remember the days before GTA San Andreas was released. The trailers were a complete tease, just like the way GTA V trailers are a tease. I couldn't wait to buy that game! The only ones I weren't really looking forward to were LC/VC stories and Chinatown Wars

Players also have the ability to shoot non-adversary civilians, though this may negatively affect players' progress as a penalty system triggers a broad police search.
Blood-splatter effects occur frequently, and the game contains rare depictions of dismemberment.
In one sequence, players are directed to use various instruments and means to extract information from a character.
The game includes depictions of sexual material/activity: implied fellatio and masturbation; various sex acts that the player's character procures from a prostitute. While no nudity is depicted in these sequences, various sexual moaning sounds can be heard. Nudity is present, however, primarily in two settings: a topless lap dance in a strip club and a location that includes male cult members with exposed genitalia in a non-sexual context.
TV programs and radio ads contain instances of mature humor: myriad sex jokes; depictions of raw sewage and feces on a worker's body; a brief instance of necrophilia
Some sequences within the larger game allow players to use narcotics (e.g., smoking from a bong, lighting a marijuana joint); cocaine use is also depicted. Players' character can, at various times, consume alcohol and drive while under the influence.
Dismemberment huh? So we can finally shoot the limbs off of people? Or maybe they just meant the cutscenes.

Well it does say "rare depictions of dismemberment" so I'm assuming it won't happen every time. Maybe it could happen with certain types of weapons/explosives
As for the in-game sports activities, I'm not really looking forward to it but I'd definitely love to play some golf whilst free roaming. I've never really played any of the in-game activites in any GTA game as I just personally find it boring and not well made. The 8 ball pool games in previous GTA's were horrible and so were the arcade style games. I didn't mind the bowling in GTA 4 though
But I know the in-game activities have been improved a lot in GTA 5 so maybe I'll give it a go

If I shoot someone in the leg.. Will they get injured and need ambulance's help? would be cool. Maybe they're saving that up for GTA 6

Re: [GTA V] Even more new images!
Unsure if this has been posted but anyway...
PSN users are now able to pre-order a digital copy of GTA V. Looks like if they ever run out of stock in stores we can always purchase it digitally! I think I'll be doing this!
