I'm not too sure about this but L.A. Noire also used some sort of system where the ingame characters facial features were based off real people.
Maybe they used this same style for GTA V, well it's quite obvious the facial features of characters for GTA V have improved a lot since GTA IV. Correct me if I'm wrong
Yeah according to Rockstar, there are more details on Franklin than the entire pedestrian population in San andreas put together. I heard Gta IV's pedestrians also were based off of real people
Yep L.A Noire's ingame characters are based off real people.

1.1 According to the complainant, Mr. Penis, was viciously attacked with the hand causing Actual Bodily Harm, this then caused Mr. Penis to ejaculate semen. The motives behind this were: GTA V.
Case closed <3
No way, GTA IV peds and various characters looked quite fake. There wasn't enough facial features and when they talked their lips moved in a very weird way.
And I don't know if it's just me, but, GTA IV seemed very dull and dark. Look at it compared to GTA V which is so much more colorful!
The faces can still be based off of real people, even though it looked like crap. I don't think the mouth movements were made with motion tracking in Gta IV, atleast not good motion tracking.
True. Back when GTA IV was released we all (well, some of us) thought the graphics looked amazing, but if we compare it to newer games, it's clear that graphics have been improved a lot.
For example look at this:

Yeah! I had to turn up the brightness on my TV just to play GTA 4 in some areas, on the PS3 it was a disgrace, by Romans cab business it was way too dark and depressing to enjoy lol, I am REALLY REALLY looking forward to GTA 5, number one game franchise of all time in my opinion :D
I loved Grand Theft Auto 4 just to drive around and kill things lol, the storyline was pretty disappointing to me, maybe because I had played it on a bad PS3 port but having played it a few times on PC it didn't disappoint me nearly as much as the PS3-port, anyway on PS3 to me GTA4 was shit, I've not played it enough on PC to determine my opinion on it but I'm certainly looking forward to playing GTA5 on PS3 (I will get it on PC whenever they announce that).
P.S Minus the bad port I loved GTA4 overall, and every other GTA game PS2 and onwards hasn't disappointed me yet (I never played the first GTA's)
I'm just hoping for more interesting cop roleplaying action. The only reason I ever played GTA4 was for LCPDFR. For some reason, playing as a cop in GTA has always been very attracting.
Yeah I agree, the darkness was very depressing, but I can't say that I hate the game because I've spent so many hours playing it. It just seemed like every mission was the same, except for Three Leaf Clover, the heist mission, which was pretty fun. All other missions were all about killing some people, stealing a boat, etc. There was a lack of creativity in GTA IV.
Money didn't matter in the game. By the end of the story, you have $500'000 - $1'000'000, but nothing to spend it on. Sure you could spend it on suits and hookers, but nothing fun. I was so happy to see that you can do so much more in GTA V when you're bored.
Also, the DLC's weren't worth purchasing. It's the same shit, but with a new main character. The Ballad of Gay Tony wasn't very good. You can't buy new clothes, all you get is what's in your wardrobe, you don't get new apartments, I guess the only thing that was fun was hanging out in the club and beating people up in there. In The Lost and Damned, you can't change your clothes, you don't get new apartments, however the storyline was decent.
Yeah I loved LCPDFR, well, I've never tried it since I don't play GTA IV on PC, but it looks amazing. In San Andreas you could do side missions, such as Taxi Driver, Fire Fighter, Police Officer, I hope we'll get to do this in V.
Although slightly disappointed with GTA IV for consoles, I had a little hope for it on PC because of the modding community. There are graphics mods which do brighten up the game, which is fine.
LCPDFR is also definitely one of the best mods out for IV as it changes the game so you play as the cop. But then again, I still have to admit that it gets really boring after a while, especially when pulling over traffic, checking their details on your computer, then walking back up to their cars, etc. After a while of playing LCPDFR, I just want to go back to normal mode and just cause mass destruction!
I can also agree with the money problem, we have tons of money by the end of the game but WTF do we spend it on? Strip clubs, clothing stores... and that's about it. On the other hand GTA V will allow you to spend your money on various things, investing in the stock market, purchasing apartments, purchasing cars (instead of stealing them) - it all sounds very promising. I definitely think Rockstar have learnt from their mistakes when making IV.
When i played LCPDFR i got so bored in the end that everyone who i pulled over went to jail or i killed them.
I wonder if we get a dog for free or we have to pay for it... even when we finish the story we have alot to do. Sports, hunting, marketing, robbing, getting ladies :junglejane: and alot more.
