The game can't really be compared with WoW as it's maybe a different gender of MMO ? You take everything from other MMO's like Vindictus's dynamic fighting combined with AOC's and better than both, you take world events from RIFT, but they are better, quests are fun, you don't need to grind, you can either go and kill or defend as quest, or you can go farm, transport water and alot of other stuff, basicly you level the way you want!
The skill effects are actually awesome and at high level, it will be very unlikely your character is not unique, with arranging the skills to use, the items, everything!
Also this game put's PVP and guilds in the center, the stuff why I actually play MMO's and not single RPG's
They also stole the ideea from diablo3 with the money auction house, which is awesome if you ask me.
Also 60$ for life ? That's a bargain for everyone, seriously
it's not a different gender, it's rather redefining the genders mechanics.. also world events were original in warhammer online.. so was this kind of wvw.. warhammer was far best pvp mmo

GW2 wont be as popular as most other MMOs. Why? GW2 is made to be completely balanced regarding PvP. The problem with that is people who invest a lot of time in a game want to be significantly better in PvP than players who started say a month ago. People want to go around raping newer high leveled players with their insanely upgraded gear for bragging rights.
Thats why people still play korean grindfests.... Upgrade your shit and own everyone who didn't spend as much money and time as you.
