Guild Wars 2

My task for this weekend was choose between Engineer and Mesmer. Instead I've added Elementalist onto the list one classes I want to play. And I still want to try the other classes, those 3 are just the ones I had a go at this weekend!

Regardless, I love this game. The effective level system is nothing short of ground breaking. It means when they add new content you aren't loosing any of the old. That was imo one of the biggest failings of WoW, every content patch effectively removed the previous one. People still go on about Ulduar, Kara, etc being the best raid ever. This game will never have that issue, still love doing a dungeon? By all means keep doing it!

I still have no ideea what to choose... I was thinking of a dual wield warrior would be nice, I tried them all :)

Can't wait for this game to release, been reading up on it a lot and seeing some of the video's it looks really promising.

In the beta i got annoyed by the infinite respawns in a mission, barely being able to heal urself (when your almost dead you should run like a motherfukka) and still alot of grinding through quest.

The PvP is actually much better, still have some things i dislike about the PvE.

Another beta test weekend this Friday! Massive patch adding loads of new stuff. PvE stuff being added to WvWvW! Looks awesome! They have also changed the trait system to have tiers, and changed some traits. Hopefully it means they can make the higher tiers more powerful! I also hope Engineers have been balanced more, Elixir Kit did sod all dps, but debuffing the target into the ground was rather amusing :p. Me and my friend are going defensive builds and plan to turtle control points in PvP. It's the first game since Warhammer I've really enjoyed PvP, I really think WvWvW will redefine mmo warfare.

It says that you can test it only if you pre-order it. Is that true?

Remember it's free to play once you have the box, so if you pre-purchase it now you can play it forever. Frankly it is well worth buying in my opinion (whatever that is worth), if you are unsure go watch some videos. WvWvW is fantastic for any PvPer, and arenanet are very good at balancing classes so you don't get raped.

Not sure whether I'll buy it as I can't really afford another addiction right now. My brother has pre purchased already and participated in a previous beta weekend. It looks fucking awesome.

Ah, but with no sub you aren't forced to play. Have to take a week off WoW you are effectively wasting 1/4 of your sub, with GW2 you loose nothing but time. With level scaling you can still do WvWvW and be approx as powerful as all your friends still, and in PvE they can always come and join you, and still gain rewards!

It'll probably the best mmo for casuals as it gives them a a decent base char regardless of how long they can play. You play for fun rather than to compete, that is what PvP is for :D

Should i get the digital deluxe or the normal digital one.

I got the normal one. I got it from play.com for £40, so £5 cheaper than the online system. It was basically a box with a code inside, then I downloaded it.
