Mod or Not to Mod, this is the question that so many seek.
I myself mod... I can use trainers, and I can keep my games in mint condition by backing them up to my xbox's harddrive.
I like to mod, but the bad thing is that you cant go on live with it activated.
So, what is it? Did you modify your xbox or not?
I did mine for free - by using a softmod. What did you do and why?
I modded my xbox with a modchip becuase modded box+dvdburner+dvds= inf games
i didnt have xbox live anyway.
and of course linux on ur xbox is also fun lol:icon6:
An xbox without a modchip is less than half the box of one with it. I installed a 120GB HDD in mine, and the XDK installed for some high quality movie/picture capturing. There's not even any need to worry about xBox Live any more, with the strong competition between various online tunnelling clients available for free use. The pros easily outweigh the cons.
I modded mine too, 120 gb as well, and you can have games even before they come out at various torrent sites.
i did nothing to my xbox...
i have a couple extra ones that ive been meaning to mod for some time I think i might just go with my other plan and bring one of them to the X360 launch and smash it on the pavement as a sign of out with the old in with the new.

Reason to Protect and raise lifetime of laser disc for example
Ps2 = MOD + HDD + NETWORK = less loading time no use of Tray neither Laser disc lens , use of pc for trainers
Xbox = MOD + HDD + new flat cable + SOME Other tweaks = better loading times using it as a media center
Both have Linux running if i want both are connected to internet
Reason , a game costs 50$ i earn like 500$ so make the calculations
Game collection over 1k games , originals = 10 cos i wanted :P
