graphically, HL2 surpasses Doom3 by miles. it is running the most realistic game engine ever created (cost valve 40million to make) and it can run on the most shit pc on the planet, unlike doom3 which can barely run on a nice pc on the lowest settings at 20 frames a second.

if doomIII runs slow it means your gfx card has to low of a run time speed to run doom3 properly
i can run doom 3 on medium settings perfectly but without shadows :(
