My roommate got it... Very fun :) Only heard a couple songs I like, but I'm not a rap fan. Boyz II Men.. lol brings back memories...
the graphics issue is the playstation model 30001 models cannot handle san andreas (those are the very first ps2's) your probably asking will models under 30001 work or models higher than 30001, YES they will... its just that sony sex0red the 30001 models..
I think one of the coolest parts so far is the 2player mode.. So much fun destroying the city with a friend :icon6:
slight graphics problems still occur with the newest playstation 2 models. the police bikes go faster than the game obviously thinks they could go, you might find yourself waiting for the game to load "the good texture" on buildings you have passed. if you go far and fast enough on a police bike you might be even waiting for the game to load "the shit texture" and then "the good texture."
the new models of the ps2 have better framerates than the older models, but still a pretty unstable framerate just like the old models. this happens with every game in the series from GTA3 to San Andreas. in the countryside you may be going a nice 120fps, in the city you may be going 55fps.
My GTA SA just came in the post, cant wait to get home and try it out :)

Argh... it sounds great. I can't wait for new GTA... I enjoyed the 1st GTA best, but VC is good too. I'm still playing VC on MTA, so fun :-)
