My Suxbox360 thread

The first batch of every console that has come out has always been buggy............just because people didnt want to wait until microsoft has fixed some bugs, its not microsofts fault, but it's the peoples fault.

Microsoft is not losing money....ever heard of wholesale? They get shitloads of discounts on stuff.

The 360 does support 4 controllers, not 2.

Also, quake 4(comes with quake 2), PDZ, need for speed, and CoD 2 are all excellent games. Have any of you ever played them besides at the Kiosks? The kiosks are nothing compared to the consumer product.

Also, there have been rumors of the the ps3 priced at $999, now im not saying this is true, but it probably will be more expensive because of its hardware.

Also, most xbox360 crashes happen because people put their xbox 360s horizontally crammed up in a small space. The console is desinged to be played vertically for good air ventilation.

Anyways, PC's blow consoles out of the water.......

you wont find it cause first of all not all people will get a freeze if they set it on its side (i seen it in a lot of places on its side)...check your local walmart lmao they put that thing in that big glass case with no air and on its side....so its not our fault...blame microsoft for releasing a buggy P.O.S...lmao

I managed to get Steely an Xbox360 from the shop I work at, and when I got it home, we were both extremely disappointed. Steely bought PDZ with the console and it is completely shite.

The graphics are nothing better than we've seen before, and the playability of the game is absolutely crap. To be fair, we haven't given it much of a chance, but I think you may find an Xbox360, PDZ and an addition wireless controller on eBay shortly lol!

I guess I'll wait until there's some worthwhile titles on the market before I even think of purchasing one, but until then I really can't wait until the release of Sony's new beast! :D

Imo, the PS3 is going to blow the 360 out of the water.

Hydra I agree, It nothing we expected but its the only next gen console out yet. Its one of the better releases of a console. 400 bucks for a consolem dont kid yourself. The price of the ps3 is going to be expensive. The main reason Iam in between ps3 and 360 is because I know how much better Live is than sony's online. Thats the main difference. I could care less about the singleplayer of the game. Its all about online.

the only reason the 360 sucks right now cause they got no good game atm...the only game that I play most of the time is "Gun" Even though I have PDZ and Kameo. I've seen the Call of Duty 2 and it looks fun.

How do you know? You held a PS3 controller? Compared the two?

Honestly - in the looks department I find the PS3 rather ugly compared to the 360 :P

The PS3 and XBox 360 will have equal graphics.

As for the overheating, it is only a very small percentage of consoles. This happens with every launch, for example the PS2 disk drive. The only reliable manufacturer is Nintendo.

The 360 supports a maximum of 3 wired controllers and 4 wireless.

your complaining about the media functions? what about sony putting 6 USB slots in the PS3 for you ipods and psp's?

every console only has one or two good games at launch, the rest are rushed as the developers only get the final development kits shortly before launch.

the 360 will have a much stronger game lineup that the original:
Alan Wake, Blue Dragon, Dark Sector, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Elveon, Gears of War, Lost Odyssey(made by the final fantasy creator), Resident Evil 5, Too Human
within the first year or two

mass effect(a new 3 part trilogy developed by bioware(Knights of the old republic))

---stupidly put out two system, which is like "Here you have a good system and a better, oh yeah the better systems cost more, but hey you get a completley awesome 'nex-gen' wireless controller(s), 'next-gen' Xbox Live for a year (which would turn you paid for it in the "better" console, 'next-gen' HDD (OMG :O a hard drive!), and a 'next-gen' interface :D....oh yeah PS3 is going to have WAY better graphics and you'll forget they don't have an interface like ours and the Nintendo Revolution is going to have a controller in which you play an FPS on it Halo 3's gonna feel like crap"

---they shipped out VERY few regionally after pre-orders because they said "for who wants the platinum edition has to pre-order it, and we'll put like 2000+ out in the whole US

---made a VERY unstable power supply

---claim the 360 is smaller (a whopping TWO INCHES because the power supply isn't latched on)

---all the games out right now don't scream "next-gen" (and my computer is STILL better than the 360 and it's like 6 months old :O)

---Bill Gates claimed that Halo 3 will be out in 06, completely forgetting that it took Bungie 5 years to make HALO 2, and Bungie rep said they don't know what Gates is smoking ;p

- If you stood to loose billions of dollars, you'd hype up a product too. Plus you have little to no control over how much a third party 'hypes' up your product (magazines etc.)

- That point was just dumb. The systems vary to compensate for either high or low spenders in the market. Not everybody wants all the extras, let alone can afford them. Also, I don't remember seeing or hearing Microsoft claim that every single feature of the new console was 'next-gen', but I may have missed that.

- And the result is what? People are paying several times the retail price to get them and the worldwide community is hungry for it. It's perfect marketing, despite it being 'cruel' -- it's a business.

- How's it unstable? Becaue a few units broke? I have no idea so feel free to expand on that.

- You just contradicted yourself there. 'They claimed to make it smaller, and it's two inches smaller than the last one'. So, basically Microsoft met their claim; they said it would be smaller, and it is.

- The only way that the games can be 'next-gen' it to have HD output - which every single game for the 360 is required to have. My computer is better than the Xbox 360 too, but the point here is that my computer cost 5,203.84 USD. One hell of a lot more than the console. The 360 isn't far behind, and for about 6% of the price - it'll sell good.

- Hadn't heard of that or know anything about it, so no comment.

- It's hardly mandatory to have an HD system in your home. The graphics won't look any worse than they did before, and you weren't complaining then.

- Can't blame Microsoft if games developers don't get their finger out.

- The price will go down, just wait a bit.

Your idea of failing is, well, wrong basically. They have dominated this year's market, the demand for their product is quite literally through the roof and they can't make them quick enough to supply the need. That, my friend, is the exact opposite of failing.

The difference between the PS3 and 360's graphics will be minimal if any.

When developing the PS3, sony were originally going to use 2 cells, one for the cpu, one for the gpu(graphics processor) but decided this wouldn't work. They went to Nvidia, who gave them basically a pc graphics card to put in the ps3.

Microsoft went to ATI and had a specialised graphics chip made with 10 mb of built in edram, which is very powerful and helps with ani aliasing.

The PS3 will probably have slightly better processing power, but 360 developers will have more advanced and powerful graphics as their disposal. The 360 will also be very much easier to develop for, meaning quicker and cheaper high quality games than the ps3.


As for the people saying that it isn't as good a pc, of couse it isn't not console will ever beat a high end gaming pc.
They cost in the thousands and are easier to upgrade.
However for consoles, the developers don't nead to worry about their games accomodating different types of pc setup.
