Need help getting Gunz Online to start.

This game won't start correctly.

I downloaded the new client "/GunzInternational_20050725.exe".
I installed the game, and opened Gunz.exe; the 'launcher' opened and it hanged up for a few seconds only to tell me that some systems aren't capable of automatically downloading files and bs like that. So I tried downloading manually, I got both the _20050706.exe and _20050725.exe patches, installed the _20050706.exe as they had mentioned in the launcher, but it still gives me the same error. Then I proceeded to patch it with the latter _20050725.exe, but to no avail.

So, I uninstalled the game, deleted the folder and tried reinstalling it. Then, sadly, I turned off my Firewall in hopes of the auto-update patch to work correctly, and so I opened Gunz.exe and the same error occurred.

Checking the forums out, I now understand that I am not alone in this daunting process, and many others (25 pages full) were having the same problem. There were multiple suggestions given throughout, but none worked for me. I am interested in learning how to make the ports connected to their FTP PASSIVE and not ACTIVE as it is set at the moment. Due to my lack of knowledge with networking, and such, I am having trouble keeping up with the previously mentioned suggestion.

I am not behind a router, I am running Windows XP with the latest service pack, and I meet ALL the requirements needed to play this game.

ahh ok i figured u meant u got the patch as opposed to the full client

mine is working np maybe u gotta do it in the order i did?
