[NEW] Ferentus Online

I've been playing this game in closed beta.(it was never really closed) Yes the servers go down at midnight tonight (gmt)Wednesday 29th for a server wipe and some much needed patches. Game is set to reopen for open beta at 4pm(gmt)on Thursday 30th

It is very much L2/Everquest in looks and play. And its all in english. I've had fun trying out 3 of the classes and enjoyed them all. Got my summoner( hard class to play) to lvl24 which was no easy feat. We even got a guild/clan up and running (you need 8 in a party lvl30+ with lvls amounting to 160 to make one).
I cant wait to start again as I made a few mistakes when allocating stat points and choosing skills. Some classes wont be able to craft as its extremely difficult and you need to use skill points to learn not only your attack/defend skills, but also the crafting skills. Lvl1 skills use up 1 skill point, lvl15 uses 2 skill points and lvl30 uses 3 skill points for each new skill. You only get 1 skill point per lvl this makes it hard to get new skills after lvl15. Also your lvl restricts you from killing lower lvl mob and looting them, so crafting items become hard to get hold of.

I've d/l'ed the game but I just haven't had time to play it yet. Seems to be quite interesting so I'll be sure to give it a go asap.

Damn, that sucks... just got lvl 13 was hopeing 14 tonight/tomorrow morning! then lvl 16 for a helmet and the bstard goes down!!! btw does anyone know if it will be f2p when it comes out for real and will it be wiped again?

PS: Lets make a RZ clan :D if you want all post which server you play and your time zone get 8 ppl in a party and were away :D.

Some more info:

Open beta is expected to last for one month with p2p in September. All open beta players will be given one month free.

This game is still being made/written and is translated straight away. There is so much more to be added.

No penalties for pvp, in fact there are pvp zones (desert)
Towns can be owned by guilds, in fact all the 4 towns can be owned by one guild, the leader of which can then become Emperor.
Lots of guild pvp
Quests (these were not implemented during closed beta)
Several races to chose from, each having a choice of up to 4 classes.
Hardcore characters. When you reach a certain lvl (was lvl30 in closed beta) you can opt for Hardcore. This give you more skills, bonus' and exp. However if you die all your skills become defunct for up to 3hours and you do lose a substantial amount of exp upon death.

They been announcing Open Beta and moving it back for the past 10 days. You cant register yet, they dont even have a date for it now.
