    Nintendo Revolution Change

    http://revolution.nintendo.com/

Welcome to the world of "Wii" .

"Introducing ... Wii. As in "we." While the code-name "Revolution" expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer. Wii will break down that wall that separates video game players from everybody else. Wii will put people more in touch with their games ... and each other. But you're probably asking: What does the name mean?" "Wii sounds like 'we,' which emphasizes this console is for everyone. Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii."
"Wii has a distinctive "ii" spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the image of people gathering to play. And Wii, as a name and a console, brings something revolutionary to the world of video games that sets it apart from the crowd."
"So that's Wii. But now Nintendo needs you. Because, it's really not about you or me. It's about Wii. And together, Wii will change everything."

I myself think it will still sell. A name doesn't make a console, I mean did you buy the Xbox 360 because of its name?

yeh find it funny how u wud write off the console coz of its name, i admit its not what i wud have called it, but then again i prob wudnt have come up with the controller either. so i do think nintendo know wat they doin. still seems like its gna be pure class.

My only issue with it is the fact that it's only one sylable long. It doesn't fit into sentances very well. At least not the one's I'm using. I keep refering to it as the "Nintendo Wii" to add some length.

I really doubt they'd wanna spend more money changing the name in the commerical. Don't get your hopes up.

take some getting used to, but think it wud be quite cool playing a FPS with the wiimote. playin sumthin like a racing game or a football game cud get a bit tricky tho. anyway e3 in 2days will find out alot more on how it works and how the controller works with the launch titles.

I was super Psyched to see the "Wiimote" at last years Game Shows it looks to be like a great nifty idea. I just hoped it won't be "Locked up" by 20000000000000000000000000 patents and that other people will be able to apply the Tech to other fields it could unlock a door in gaming IMO....as for Racing/Football/FPS...that's why they made that 'Extention' Nub or something.

But hey....I got a 360, I'll have a ps3 and I'll find a way to come into Wii posession of them all....on second reading that sounds kinda messed up...

    xD
