I really enjoyed my archer while I was playing.
I was planning on trying out an archer.
What level are you at now? I guess you have already understood that skills come from gems and the skill tree is made out of passives only.
well i didnt play much only lvl 11. and i cant play the next week cus i dont have my gaming computer.
Well, you'll get to understand things in time. :]
Its pretty similar to ff7. All your skills come from your materia, or orbs in this game, and they can be augmented if they have linked orb slots. Loved this system in ff7 and I think it will make this game go far among ff7 lovers, which is just about everyone right? lol.
You can say so.
This game is awesome, anyone interested in a templar should check out the AoF build. The only difference I took on the build was using dual maces and later on mace/shield. Oh and in the talents where it says to add 2h damage, go with 1h damage. its just as good at the momment but leaves more useful spots to spec into like shield talents.
Sorry for bumping but I guess it's better than creating a new thread, there are many rumors and interviews with the developers saying that the release date is near (december most probably to go to open beta, after open beta the characters won't be deleted so you can consider it official).
They are adding much more new content, in the endgame you hunt down maps, than you create those maps through a machine, different maps have different properties (Example: Rare Item Drop Rate + 28%, Ice Ressistance + 72%, Monster Moving Speed + 40%) etc.. Basicly a game like this (diablo2 like) needs to have a repetitive gameplay, besides the randomised dungeon structures, the map system is awesome, basicly you will NEVER go in the exact same instance, it will always be different, there will always be other bosses with other possible drops and so on, the higher map level the higher the item drops.
Currently there are 2 acts and 3 difficulties (or 4 ?). In Open Beta there will be 3 acts, the last act no1 knows much about it, just that it will be awesome, the game is totally free2play (the pets from Supporter packs are just visual, absolutely no real use for them), you can only buy cosmetics to change the visual effects on your items and spells, more character slots, more stash slots, but nothing to directly interfere with the game mechanics. The developer said that there will be trading both ingame and in website (yes you will be able to do trades when on your cellphone etc.)
I've got a big interest on this game recently, and I'm so excited about it, last time I played I liked it, now I love it a lot. Who here is playing now and will be playing in OB/release?
This is my current/personal build (Ice Shadow Caster CI):
