Has no one mentioned that the demo for battlefield 2142 is out now? Tis a quality game... have been playing it loads! definatly gonna buy it.
As for people saying that BF2 is better.... well i used to agree but after playing 2142 for the last few days im afraid im gonna have to say it fucking rocks!
I played the demo since yesterday..
But its just a BF2 with a other skin because engine and the most things are the same. But anyway BF2 rocks so BF2142 does too :) and the titan type rules too

preorder it from EA and you can preload the game before its released - which i'll be doing in about 3 days =p
It's basically just battlefield 2 set a few hundread years into the future, I love the titan game mode.
You have to create a new account everytime you play, which is the bad thing otherwise it gets stuck at " Contacting EA master server " or something like that.

I dont like the plane models..they r far too similar...i want more vehicles...
dont have I can login,join,play without problems and I didnt found any bug so far (only my client crash when I try to change my email)
Vehicles enough I guess bf2 dont have more...
theres a wierd bug with guns that makes you sprint but not sprint so you carry ur gun weird but dont go any faster
To be honest its still totally rammed with bugs. Most annoying thing is when it crashes to desktop and forgets ALL of your settings! Followed closely by the sond bug that constantly loops a sound and wont stop until u exit the game!
Still a fantastic game and im (sadly) going to have to rely on patches to fix these problems. Game is pre ordered tho :D cant wait! (£19.99 inc P&P from PC World - Shop for cheap PC Games - EA BATTLEFIELD 2142 PC )

yup same here btw remeber that that bf for 20 euro is a OEM version so it have not a orginal box but just of paper (I heard that anyway)
and I get this game at the 12th :P
different people are getting different bugs. The beta testing wasent good enough to be honest. i know its not just my comp thats making it do that coz it never happened on BF2 (same engine).
£19.99 is for the full retail version. PC world doesent sell OEM :)
I kind of see it as an expansion pack, same engine just new stuff added on.
its like what bf vietnam was to bf1942. I dont see how people can say its a mod of bf2, sure its the same engine, but it sure as hell feels diffrent.

I can't wait to play it. I would but this laptop here has a powerful processor but the video card (x1400 HyperMemory) is totally crap. Lags like hell in Dawn of War with max setting + no af or aa. Don't dare touch BF on this PC. O.O
Been excited about 2142 for ages because of the walkers. So how good are they?

Walkers aren't too amazing, just 2 miniguns and 64 rockets, and a little higher up than anyother tank/car. It just feels like a tank but it still has the animated legs and stuff you'd expect
and dont forget it is difficult to control to robot (walking) from shooting camera (3th person camera is simple) but its fun to see ingame
Walkers totally rock. Yeah controling them can be a little hard when u first start but after half an hour or so your sorted! + i would say they are more powerfull than tanks. Tanks can take them down quite fast (due to the tank cannon) but tanks have shocking anti air..... these things have a full anti air turrent with EMP missiles and a machine gun.
The rocks aint that powerfull and arnt very accurate (need to be standing close to the target) but they fire so fast that they own almost anything. Could take out a tank in less time than it takes for it to turn its turret!
The game is totally different to BF2! Different weapons... different objectives..... totally different atmospher (in my opinion in places its better than BF2 could pull off). The very fact that u can drive the titan directly over the middle of the battlefield and have 7 + people manning the turrets (these things shoot down on the ground a little like the arty on BF2 just slightly less powerfull....... you dont have to wait 10 minutes b4 u can use it again tho ;)). Quality stuff!

i agree i was on a walker and i managed to get my missiles to hit it, by fluke then i just shot the shit out of it and it exploded :eek6:
I've only been in a walker once, and it blew up about 5 seconds after i got in it, by a tank somehow even though it had full health when i got in.

I am disappointed really...
I miss the airplanes, helicopters...now u only got 2 different air vehicles, instead of 4.
and you got a walker...boo hoo.. a tank, an armored vehicle, and a jeep...sucks
They will make an expansion for it so fast it isnt even funny, adding like 4 moer vehicles probably, and a new gun or somethin...and everyone will buy it...
It really disappointed me.
they should add bomber planes, drop atomic bombs lolz
im disappointed with it too...there are too less planes, walkers, tanks and such it would be nice if there were at least many diff kinds like heavy walker with bazooka or light walker that can sprint and has a few machine guns or something like that
