Hmm, looks like you didn't read my post, I have an ATI card, not a nvidia card. I also tried the tweaks, my graphics card didn't like them hehe.
Edit: Did you quote me by mistake?

Only 256mb of RAM? You do know that it wont be possible to run at that resolution with high settings and get 20-25 FPS with just 256mb of RAM.
There just isn't enough memory to store the textures that are required to do that.
And you do know that in XP the GTS gets about 40 FPS at that setting...
Umm.... I'm running Vista Ultimate 64-bit with the 169.01 drivers and it runs just fine. The 64-bit version of the game doesn't work but the 32-bit does. And that's not down to the graphics drivers but a software problem with the demo that needs to be patched.
Yet again there is something wrong there. Either your drivers are setup to have the lowest possible level of detail or you are simply not running those settings and/or resolution.
I wouldn't bother getting that card. It's going to perform lower then the 8800GT. Hence why they changed the price from $250 to $200 to compete with the GT.
The GT is just simply an amazing card. No matter how you look at it.
I used to have dual x1900's. Sold them for a PS3 and went back to nVidia. Why nVidia? Because the support for games with ATI is crap compared to nVidia. Gave me to many problems. So that's why I went back to nVidia. And not to mention a single GTX is faster then dual x1900 XTXs.
Now if you are honestly running at those settings and getting those results consider yourself damn lucky. Because even the 2900Pro can't get those results. And that's a faster card then what you have.
Fact of the matter. At the moment the 8800's are the best cards around. Well the GT and the GTX as the GTS and Ultras are jokes.
NoPeace - out

Crytek's Crysis demo just won't stay under our radar. After the DX10 on DX9 script issue was discovered, a number of people started to scrutinize the script files. Now, we have yet another surprise to report about.
The new surprise comes in the form of guns, including nearly everything that you will be able to view in the full game. Next in line are vehicles, tanks, boats and helicopters. All you have to do is to download the "demofunmap #5" from here, and then extract the level.pak to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo\Game\Levels\island, or whereever you installed the demo. Just be sure to back up the original level.pak so you don't have to reinstall the demo.
It seems that Crytek has underestimated gamers' curiosity and desire to look at the script files and editor. And stay off the center of the map, since it triggers the final cut scene and ends the demo. Have fun flying.....
Alright, breakthrough guys. I just found out that if you use the map editor and skip to the bit after the last cutscene theres about 30 seconds of extra gameplay, showing off the alien a bit more, but if you skip down to the bottom bit after your screen fades out a second time you'll find out something interesting about Jester.
I Tried the editor, dropped a Tac Gun for myself and one point.
Cleared a whole beach section with it, small powerful weapon i must say.
