We didn't need a novel about your life, but anyway don't think there is a trial; haven't found one.
I tried the game, but i think it leaves too much to player control. That means when say your "commander" isn't on or someone in the commanding chain doesnt play that much, you're not gonna have as much "action". PvP element also lacks content in my opinion. Also, no more concept of killing NPCs for money, you gotta mine or manufacture (in some peoples books thats a plus, but i just like to whack NPCs with blunt objects or blast em with somethin ~.~).
Overall though, it brings a completely different concept of gameplay to MMORPGs, and i think...that if someone doesnt like MMORPGs normally...might like this game(depending on which aspects they look for in a game).

All of these are valid points, but all they come down to is player preference. Also, High rankers are demoted if they are in-active, and another player is promoted. And the NPC thing is, they don't want the game to become a grind game, which they have in a way failed at. The new mission system(because the mission objectives were badly thought up) is much more of a grind than they were in Pre-retail/Pre-milestone, but there is hope for people who hate the grind, because they are redoing the mission system in milestone 2.
