It really isn't a large amount and all energy characters have a way to regen and would be more beneficial to he mid lane who needs the regen unless they are an energy character. Also with the jungle items you get mana and health back quite easily now without blue buff

This is what mid players always say when a jung has no mana. Riven for example benwfits like hell from the CDR. Champs like Aatrox dont really benefit from blue, so complaining about him getting blue is understandable.
So yea basically every mid ragequits if i say i use blue for cdr... either way, I always ask if they want blue

actually I was a Jungler - Lux.. so the blue was with me most of the time.

I never said I ever was reliant on blue however having it can make laning phase much easier and also gives you more opportunity to roam as you can push the lane much easier. Which then means you can help out bot if they are behind and help get them back into the game and also snowball yourself.

Re: [PC] League of Legends - General Talk
You guys are looking at it from the wrong point of view.
Instead of saying a midplayer who needs blue is a bad mid, look at it like that a jungler that doesn't ask if the midplayer wants the 2nd blue or any blue afterwards is a bad jungler. ;)
When I play mid i never bitch for blue buff, but I take it and thank my jungler if he offers it to me.
If I play jungle I take 1st blue (obviously) and always ask my midlaner if he wants the 2nd blue or not, after that it's situational wether or not I'll ask if anyone needs blue.

Re: [PC] League of Legends - General Talk
I've done Doom Bot I and Doom Bots II, but haven't been able to wreck Doom Bots V yet :(

Complete BS. There are lots of mids that will poke the hell out of you, spam their skills, push the lane, making you lose farm etc. Trust me if you have no blue, and I got blue on say Ahri, I will harass you down.
That said, on some champs I don't want (early) blue, if I play Karthus and got a counter, I prefer not having blue, I can sustain with passive and if I die, at least I won't refresh their blue.

If they're getting blue, that's a different story; they'll be pushing then. Regardless of that, that doesn't mean that they're all-of-a-sudden better than you and can kill you any easier. Most of the time, blue gives the distinct advantage of being able to take advantage of their cooldowns. Whenever I face someone on blue, it is incredibly easy to harass them down without sacrificing a lot, and I often can kill them before my mana runs out. I get their blue and I can push.
The whole notion of blue is bad for lower ELO players. They use it as a crutch. I used to use it as a crutch myself. Mana management is the greatest skill a LoL player needs to learn, and blue buff doesn't help train the most mana-hungry champs. I play a lot of Lux, Syndra and Orianna, and those champs can burn a mana pool in 2.5 rotations max. Once you learn your mana management, it makes those rare blue moments great for a surge down mid, or for a big team fight.
If I'm not needing to push mid down, or we're not in team fighting phase of the game, then the jungler definitely needs blue over me. The jugler can clear faster, gank faster, and counter jungle faster

yay beat my first doom bot lvl 5. Played only 8 doom bot games, where 3 of them were doom bot 1 (1 time) and doom bot 2 (2 times). Got my final items and could 1v1 any of them. The game took 53 mins and it was 4v5 the entire game.

The meta is that mid gets the second blue. So if you don't get it, you will often lose your lane because of it. Yes mana management is an issue with most players where they can't do anything when they don't have it, however depending on the enemy, you will lose your lane if you don't have blue and they do.
Lux and Orianna can farm quite well without blue, Lux makes it easy to time your E to take out a group, while doing extra damage on the ones that didn't die, securing the farm easily. Orianna gets the extra damage from AP, making last hitting a little easier. On top of that they both have good zoning skills.
Syndra I've never played, so not sure about her mana costs and last hitting ability, aside from just planning it well.
The reason why I'm saying this, is because when you get pushed under the tower, quite a few champs have a really hard time last hitting under it. Ahri is one of them, you need to 1 hit all the caster minions while you last hit the melee ones, and then last hit the caster after they got the tower hit. Now if you have say a Lux, Orianna or Syndra against you, they will be poking you down and stunning you, resulting you losing health and losing farm.
Now if Ahri has blue, she can poke down the minions with your Q and clean up before it hits tower, and if they go aggressive on you, you can E-Q-W them, making them think twice.
So no matter how well I play Ahri, if the enemy has blue and goes aggressive, I either need to burn through my mana to pick up all the farm, or take damage and lose farm.
Re: [PC] League of Legends - General Talk
Syndra is super easy to farm with. Q and then W and the casters are gone then Q melee creeps then last hit them and your done.
Also Lux is getting a little buff on her passive on the PBE, slightly taken down the base damage but getting a .2 ap scaling. How fun :)
