Good luck with that. I can't get out of bronze, I just play too much normal and are too worried about ranked just in case I drop a down further. Been in promotion 3 times so far but always get AFK's or people who like to troll.
You got any tips to help with ranked games?
Re: League of Legends - General Talk
Play with a team not solo.

Personally I don't like to play duo, I quite pref to play soloQ. Don't focus on flaming back others if you get flamed. Use the mute button.
"Master" atleast 2 champs for each role, 3 if possible.
If you are a jungler main and find out that 1 of your lanes are feeding hard, don't you dare to go there and gank, focus on the other lanes.
timestamp drake, barons atleast, if you can blues and reds. summoners from the enemy team too (it helps alot)

Thanks for the tips, I don't actually main any role but usually fill in the support role just because everyone else hates it and I am ok at the role but I can't carry from this role. Thanks for the jungler tips though I normally try ganking hard feeding lanes but guess I will change now and get other lanes fed for my team.
I have recently got Hecarim as I was able to obtain an Arcade Hecarim skin code. I have started to learn him in the jungle.

Master 3 for each role is definitely the least, 2 is definitely not enough. 2 means that if a ban or a pick comes out, you will be forced on the other champ, which sucks hard if it doesn't fit the comp.
You need to be able to pick a variety of champions and most important, with different playstyles. For top for example you want 2 ad and 2 ap champions, now these can be tanky, but if your team is mostly AP, you need to add some AD. Since you need to be able to fit the team and possibly counter pick, you need some choice in that as well. So when you got like Renekton and Olaf as options top, that means that in many cases, even though they locked in the top laner first, you won't be able to counter it.
4 isn't needed in all lanes and it also depends on the champion, I can lane passively against pretty much anyone with Karthus, I can farm under lane and destroy them late game. I can also play well with say Ahri, but she's harder to farm under tower so I need to get away from my tower, also my power will be in picking the enemy off, if the enemy has something that is hard to catch, I will get destroyed.
With ADC you won't need 4, but having some variety is good, if you only play Draven and Vayne, that can be a huge problem when playing against say Caitlyn/Karma or something like that, so you want to be able to pick up a champ that got some longer range. And even if you play Vayne and Cait to mix it up, do remember that a Cait pick on their side, means a Vayne pick on yours.
Re: League of Legends - General Talk
I am trying to improve my top lane roster as I don't have many champions in the top lane and wanting to expand this. I have 4800IP currently but was thinking of getting 6300IP for Quinn as she seems to be an okay adc but not the best but also I have seen her played mid lane and top lane. Anyone actually played Quinn?
Also want to get Fizz as he can just get fed so easy and then kill under tower so easy without loosing much health. I do prefer to play champions that don't normally get played just because it's boring playing the 'OP' champions but I don't think I should put myself at a disadvantage in ranked just because I don't want to play the 'OP' champions.
Re: League of Legends - General Talk
Le Blanc and Yasuo have been banned a lot in ranked so don't try and Master those for ranked play. I haven't played a ranked game where those 2 haven't been banned.
Re: League of Legends - General Talk
That's because people are sheep who watches the pro's, fact is that LeBlanc has a 45% win ratio and Yasuo 47. The thing is with assassin's in general, that you need a good team comp and good mechanics. Same goes for Gragas, Kassadin, Lee Sin, Elise, Zed and more. All of these champs are at the bottom of the win Ratio's, yet are highly contested among the pro's. They require a lot of skill, require good team play, but also good warding. LB is great for picking people off, but what if there are no wards?

I personally don't like Quinn, not saying she's bad, but I don't really think she offers anything special. I would rather look at the cheaper champs. If you go expensive on an ADC though, go Lucian.

I already have Lucian and pretty good at him, one of my main ADCs. Also, looking to get Twitch just because I love his Visual upgrade. Any top laners you would suggest, already have Panth and Wukong and a few others.
The pro scene is really annoying, I used to play LeBlanc way before the pros did and now she being played, everyone is like "Too OP" "Broken" and if you play her you just get flame because she is a good burst mage.
Re: League of Legends - General Talk
You played her before the Pro's did? You sure? You're a day 1 beta player or something?
Anyway she ain't OP or broken, like I said, her stats are negative, however like all assassin's, when fed gets extremely strong.
You have 2 AD champs top, so you want some Tank/AP, I would get Cho, I personally like him, doesn't win most lanes, but also doesn't lose them, in team fights he gets big though. Shyvana always works as well.
Need that AP burst? Try something like Vladimir or Ryze.

I didn't mean it like that. But after her kit getting damage moved around and stuff people didn't play her and was rarely seen but I still played her.
I have Vladimir and Ryze but with Vladimir he just doesn't have any CC or mobility so doesn't fit into the meta. I will purchase Cho'gath and try him out as I have seen him become super tanky late-game and is really hard to kill and has a great CC, knock up and slow.

remember that my advice is based on what he is looking for, to get out of bronze, Im not even Plat yet so I can just give advices biased on what I learn till Gold II :b but IMO about Karthus, pick Karthus and make that fizz mid/top/jungle fed, then lets talk about who destroys who late game xD even with the Sheen's nurf and his "buff" on W he's stills a beast for me. Another way for him to get out of bronze quicker I would say: Pick Yi/Xinzhao jungle and abuse Feral Flare, do solo baron at 15~20mins

Want cc and tankiness?
get Singed HUEHUEHUE
Re: League of Legends - General Talk
Lucky me. Quinn is on the free rotation for tomorrow so I can try her out and also Irelia who I have seen people play top really well. Also, Patch 4.6 is coming out tomorrow I believe. Can't wait.
Re: League of Legends - General Talk
try aatrox or jax. both are decent top laners (aatrox is better in the jung imo). They aren't the best tanks but 3 revive aatrox is op as hell in fights
