Yeah, v0.6 lets you pick a team of any 6 Pokemon in the begging, wild battles are not out yet, but PvPs are. When the full version comes out, you will loose all your Pokemon (sorry) and it will be like the game were you choose a starter from the lab of whichever region you start in. Go here for more:
