Im surprsied no one has posted this yet but the orange box which is a pack from steam (steampowered.com) is the big thing in that community now. They have the entire half life series in it including Half life 2 episode 2 and a new game portal. The long awaited Team fortress 2 beta has been out for a few weeks very fun game it has been waited for almost a decade. All I have to say great buy for this 5 games 45 usd it comes out in the US officaly the 10th and all I have to say I have pre ordered and have not been disapponted by the games but i have to wait for portal and Half Life 2 episode 2 but over all I think its a great buy you can pre order now from steam and play the Team fortress 2 beta and save 5 usd.

We'll have to wait and see to be honest. Half-Life 2 does come with CSS and HL:S. So they might come with it anyways.

From what I've read you get 3 things in the Orange box.

Black Box (HL2 EP2, TF2, Portal)
HL2 EP1
HL2

When you look at it. Every HL2 key gives you access to HL:S and CSS.

So with that in mind. You do get the entire Half-Life series. 1, 2, 2 ep 1, 2 ep 2. :1:

Anyways I'm annoyed with Valve. I wanted just the Black Box but thats for the owners of the new Radeon cards. -.-

Now I have to pay extra for games that I already own.

Actually Nopeace if you fell and are very nice you can give hl2 to a friend they made that a option or just buy the games you want out of it separately but oh well than that is annoying. But on the bright side how often will you ever see a game for 45 usd? Also I forgot to mention this package is coming to the xbox 360 and ps3 and then after the pc and xbox release a week later the ps3 one comes out.

You can't just buy the one you want out of it. That's the thing. I just wanted the Black Box but it's removed. So now you have to get the stupid Orange Box that has keys for the 3 games.

And yeah. I'll probably just add the HL2 and HL2EP1 keys to my wifes steam account. Since well I don't need them. O.O

You see tons of great games for under $45usd. Star Wars Empire At War box set is $30. The WC3 Battle Chest is $30 also. I got Rise of Legends for just $5. Company of Heroes and it's expansion pack are both $40 each. Oblivion is just $30. Now that's just a small number of computer games. =P

X360 and PS2 has tons of high quality games for less then $40. ;)

Yeah the black box would have rocked.... but thankfully i havent got ep1 yet for halflife2. Decided to wait till ep2 came out so i could play them both in a row and get almost a full games worth of gameplay out of it!

boy did it suck when ep1 ended and I was left high 'n dry :\
I'm happily awaiting for portal to come out (as well as fortress 2). Valve has never disappointed me with games.

Got the Orange Box yesterday and I am impressed. At the box that is. It's so freaking bright. Who on Earth came up with the idea to use neon orange? It freaking glows in the dark from how bright it is. XD

Anways... TF2 just kicks ass. I haven't played such a great multiplayer game since well... The original game. The game play just feels perfect. The only flaw in the game is the lack of maps. Only 5 of them and that's a shame. Hopefully more are to come.

As for Portal. It was simply amazing. The first dozen levels are piss ass easy and takes no brain cells to complete. Then the next 7 are everything you want it to be. Actually put a challenge to it at times and requires some skills. Then after you do the last level you get a great surprise and it isn't the cake that you was promised. Then once you beat the game you get to do the last 6 levels again in a much harder way. Now they are a good challenge.

As for EP2 I have yet to touch it. Still need to finish EP1 which wont run on this stupid computer at the moment. -.-

Anyways for $50 it is a damn great buy. 5 great games at $10 a piece. Makes me a little annoyed at the fact I spent $60 on the HL2 collectors edition way back when and now have a spare copy to give away. :icon6:

Yeah it's not TFC but TF2. Still a great balanced game no matter how you look at it.

About the delays. I'm pretty sure thats false. The 360 site says its already released and people are already on the forums discussing it. Oh and i'm pretty sure i was looking at someone who had some of the achieves. So yea its out for the 360. Can't wait to get my hand on it.

you sound like what im thinking of TF2!!! What i loved about the original was being able to run around and seeing hundreds of sniper dots all over the place and being able to dodge them! The original TF was so much of a stalemate that it was hard to get anywhere unless you were very good! I know that some people were pissed off with that but for me its what made it so good! Being able to come up behind snipers and stab them in the back was what made it worth it!
