Never ever buy skadi, BKB, Necro, armlet, orchid, rapier, BOT, or blink dagger. I juts hate those items, no idea why.
Instead, i absolutely love sny (even before buf), linkens (same), treads (even before they gave stats), MKB, vlads (since it was first introduced), and vanguard (same). I will on almost any hero use 2 or more of these.

What's so good about the assist? Yes ok so its part of your score, but you don't get anything for it. No extra XP, and no money.
It's just a personal thing, Rish. I've noticed the behaviour of several people in dota. "ZOMG I ownz moar with 7-4 than j00 with 4-1" but they simply stole that kill with e.g. Lion ultimate. Even though it has no actual influence on the game itself but it is nice to see that you have 7 or 8 assists while that other guy has 0. Teamplay > Kills. (I noticed such behaviour among my friends as well :tongue:)
I'm too lazy to do it but surely someone on the DOTa forum will suggest it... IMO the assist idea would be great if they used a system that if you did more than 1/2 the damage to that hero over the past 20 secs, you get an Assist which gives you 1/2 the gold.
Because that way people like Leshrac and Veno and other AOE masters will get atleast something for their efforts.
