the game is way too weird, you go to one place ... downloading starts ... u start mission, downloading starts ... you saw someone with a new armor ... guess what? downloading starts -_-
sux tbh, i played when the first ever beta came out, before all that downloading shite came out :chair:

Yeah, kind of sucks that you have to do this... I'm sure after you get all the maps and stuff it's not an issue, but for people with a)dialup or b)no patience, this is NOT the way to go :P Especially if you're waiting on someone hehQuote:

I get on top of the hill right by the camp, and then my client freezes, and I have waited sometime, and it won't unfreeze.
once uve downloaded, u never have to download again...only the 1st time, im lv17 on about the 5th or 6th quest/town i think

while you have 8000+ players there
you have 1.5million current active chars on FFXI and from all over the world wich means any time you log in you'll have ppl to play with
if i had money for both i would play both looks cool

ya its beta and it still needs many improvements imo. economy sux (pelts? hides? - no drop items), customization sux (only humans? every warrior/monk/etc looks same), chat system sux (look at ao - this is perfect) and pve sux my ass(booooring)! only good thing about gw as for now is pvp which i enjoy a litle (12 straight hours lol). see ya ingame my nick Shadow Bane :>
Game is ok, it should appeal to some people for the most part. Gameplay could take a while to get adjusted to, if you liked it in E3. Your probably going to like it now... Been playing it since thursday (Really didn't play it then, The streaming dl speeds were at 2 - 5 kbs... Took forever)
Got lvl 18 war/monk, E3 chars are still there except all items gone and their all weird n stuff...Had some screens... Took to long to upload so i just gave up. Fun game though ;P, need to allow more pking and weapon crafting.
We can't talk about a "beta" , its more a online demo for a gameplay test. Its specialy pub because the guild wars staff said we can bought this game in summer, after for christmas and now....for february :eh:
Maybe guard the impatients ? I think ^^ now i finished the lvling ingame (20) and im impatient ^^'
