FF7 was pretty darn good, but as for older generation RPGs go, my favourite would be timestalkers for the DC.

Every time I see a "best RPG thread", the first game that always comes to mind is FF Tactics.

The Original Tactics is one of my Personal Favs, But FF7 Takes the cake over all PS1 rpgs ;] and even most of the ps2 and 360 rpgs. and if you ask me, tis better then the new FFs ;] Im an old school Gamers. i like new games. but My View is on the Classics, I grew up with them, Hell I cant just drop it xD :P

FF8 is No Comparison to FF7 mate. My honest Opinion, No other RPG will be at the level of which FF7 was at, the Game was flawless.
