My whole life i've been a playstation person, I had the Ps1, and currently I own a ps2.
But in the end, the fact of the matter is.

people with no real friends tend to like the computer gaming community. why have real human contact when you can type to some1?
and why are ppl so <insert smart word> that PS3 costs so much? they can buy a 3k pc but not a $600 system?
X-box 360 ftw its ownage i am gettin 1 4 Xmas. but my m8 has 1 lol i carnt argue bout it cos ps3 aint out yet lol but Xbox own an ps suck my 7 inch cock.

I myself am only going to own a 360, for the pure reason i'm a microsoft man :) I love Halo and the fact of xBox Live and almost all of my friends have a 360 and xbox live we all have the same games and own a huge clan :P G.R.A.W on live is sooo fun ! Here are the facts of why I think the 360 will win with flying colours;
HD Movies / HD Tv shows on marketplace - 1000 Microsoft points which is about 8 pounds? 8 Pounds for a movie which you can delete and then download again and again and again?
Demos - These are free god damn, HD DEMOS FOR FREE what more can you ask for ? Try the game before you buy, if you didnt like the demo look for a review :P
HD DVD Drive - I'm still unsure if this will support HD DVD games? If not then I wont be purchsing. But god damn it almost lives up to Blu-Ray ! Thats the game quality matched.
HDMI Support planned - Well we've already got the update for 1080p so wheres our leads microsoft?
Great support - They'll take it in and repair it the same week!
Achivements - Sometimes these can be anoying as you dont have as much as your friend, but still you can spend some time looking for them !
Removeable harddrive - Can make bigger / Use XSATA lead to plug the hard drive into a PC via USB and get a whole 250gb of space!
Dashboard - Wow, this is the most easy to use GUI i've ever seen in my life.
Camera - One word, amazing. It rarley lags and the quality is amazing if tuned properly.
Faceplates - Omfg, these are wkd, mines custom by an artist who lives up the road from me and hell does it look good!
And much more...
The xBox 360 will come out on top for the pure factor of it being released first.

With all some of those points it kinda depends what country you live in like great support in australia its shit dont ask why just is.
Oh nd it being on the top cos it was released first is pretty..dumb cos n1.its cost 1k when it came out now it is 700 alsosome people are patient and are not going to waste over 500 moola on the first console that comes out they bid their time and check out all the stats of the systems and the games on them like you can see in this thread.
I wouldnt mind buying a ps3 is it was good. If i wanted a PC id buy a PC, not a games console. So why are sony trying to sell my a PC that only plays games, uh no? If i wanted a HD film player, id go for the HD DVD personaly, costs ALOT less, why pay what £300-£400 for a ps3 when you can get a 360 and a hddvd for about £300 anyway?
Sony fanboys seem to go on about bluray but 360 you can do exactly the same thing. Then theres the whole 1080p, when as of last update i think 360 can already support, the only problem is the leads suck :p
There are however bad points for the 360, why the hell have a better gfx card than the ps3 when it cant output enough data to TVs? lol
Personaly im planning on getting the wii purely because it seems to be the best this genertion, if i wanted a game with brilliant gfx id buy a PC game but for consoles i want something a PC cant give me. Nintendos games always seem to be a cut above the rest in gameplay. The new controller looks nice aswell but id be happy enough with upgrades of gamecube games tbh :p
