And you can honestly say that you dont get bored even a little bit?

You are made to play SRO then, lol. Seems that things really differ between people. I myself lose interest at all when it comes to such grinding for hundreds of hours. I need something to hold my interest, to make me wonder what come next etc.

I'm a 2005 FlyFF player (end of the year, november/october, before the Acrobat class was released) and I had so much fun by grinding.
I'm guessing the grinding depends on how the game is shaped. I do quests on general games if they tend to uncover parts of the lore (RuneScape is a big example, since it has a very large lore).
Imo, I love Guild Wars 2 leveling system the most. I couldn't ask for anything else in a game, when it comes to levelling.
If I'm on a High Rate server, grinding could be faster or easier than quests. Though Quests show more of the game.
Maybe a mixture of both will do. ^_^
Honestly it depends on the game you are playing.
I love doing quests. I've got the Loremaster title in World of Warcraft - For those of you who don't know what that is, it's basically; complete MOST of the quests in EVERY zone available in all the continents:
Eastern Kingdom - About 1000 quests
Kalimdor - About 800 quests
Outland - About 500
Northrend - About 500
Cataclysm Quests - About 300
Mists of Pandaria - Don't know the exact number. Somewhere around 300-400.
The figures above are not 100% accurate - might be more or might be less.
I bought Guild Wars 2 the day that they announced pre-sales. I played the entire Beta - and I was enjoying the game, up until the Game launched.
Since I had done all the quests for each Race, as many as I could do during the Beta (about level 30) - and once the game finally released, and the characters were not being reset - I got bored, since all there is to that game is grinding.
"Go here, help her"
"Go there, kill that"
"Go somewhere, kill something"
And so on...
It's dull and boring to play an MMO which doesn't give you quests which you can complete ALL the time. There are a set number of quests for each zone, which I don't like - I like having enough quests to be able to get out of the zone and into the next one + still having enough quests to go back and earn money/rewards from at a later date.
So in summary;
Quests > Grind
GW2 was amazing till 3 weeks later.. where everything started to be repetitive..
well, most of the mmorpgs right now are repetitive...
Made a thread about Path of Exile, I could say that it combines both grinding and questing, and to be honest you can choose whether you can be a hard core grinder, focus on questing or just both, because of the difficulties system that it offers.

Every game will become repetitive eventually, as you cannot add an infinite amount of Quests, Items, etc - for a Game.
You can have A LOT of content, but never infinite.
Eventually someone, somewhere Will complete All the quests, kill EVERY mob at least once and have done every Raid/Instance there is - there's no denying this. However; Questing does make this harder to achieve, whether it's quests to be able to enter an instance or alike.
That's when you add patches, but somehow, every MMO company, let's take Blizzard as an example - has failed horribly here. I can't say it's entirely their fault as the fault lies with Activision as well, which are pushing the devs to release unfinished content.
It can be found on a lot of games, the difference is how the game is structured and the way it combines both. :)
If you try PoE you will see what I am talking about.
yeah. depends. if i'm new to the game, then questing since most games tend to have quests as tutorials, teaching you monster spots and the like, you'll also get to explore the maps while getting something for it so it's not that bad. but if i am already knowledgeable about the game for example like ragnarok, even though there is a new eden group there, when i played the game again i chose to grind since it's much faster and convenient for me that way. the only quest i did there was the eden equip quests and change job.
After several quests and rounds of grinding... Cheat Engine.
I go for Quest. If I have my friends playing with me, then I'll grind with them.
grinding with friends sure is fun. especially when a boss spawns on top of ya! :D
nope. i was actually talking about Flyff. monster spots there have the occasional boss that nobody in that level range can defeat.
what kind of weed you smokin there man? how can a ragnarok be a clone of wow? many are already playing ragnarok even before wow was released. (*¬*)
