Imo Morrowind is better then Oblivion, the only downside is that the graphics suck hard after you played Oblivion (or any current games for that matter)
Morrowind offered a few things that i really missed in Oblivion, for example i really miss that you can't just find armor, but that you have to be a certain level before characters wear it, and that the enchanting is pretty messed up, in Morrowind it was fun to enchant a nice summon on a shield with constant effect, ofcourse other enchantments were fun aswell, besides in Morrowind items had a quality, in Oblivion it all gets the same, wether you wear crap, or Daedric for example.

I've played my fair amount of Morrowind and Oblivion. Don't get me wrong though, Oblivion is a excellent game, Morrowind is just better.
Anyway there isn't much i can tell you about the game, except for this.
To level up you need 10 points in your major skills, when you get that and you sleep then you will level up, then you will see that some skills have 2 or more next to it.
The way it works is that when you raise skills with the attribute constitution for example, that for every 2 levels (i believe it was 2) that skills gain with that attribute, that your multiplier goes up.
For example if your Heavy Armor goes up by 7 points, and your Medium Armor goes up with 3 points, then you will have a totall of 10 points, which gives a x5 multiplier (which is btw the max), it doesn't matter if they are major or minor skills.
If you build your character correctly then you can get for all 3 attributes x5

No, there are lots of sets, they can all be enchanted with spells and effects, there are also a lot of unique items with nice stats.
Imperial really is one of the first.
Try searching for Morrowind armor sets on Google, i'm sure you can find a list.

Because it's cheap and doesn't require a good PC? ;)
But really it's a great game, and when you finish it then you should get Oblivion.
