If they upgrade to fully 3d eye-candy graphics, it will be either lose it all or win it all.
If they do it wrong, they will lose many, many players. If they do it right, they will lose the players with low-end computers, but it will attract many more players with a powerful enough computer to handle it (which doesn't take much nowadays).
It would be a huge risk if they upgrade to fully eye-candy 3D.
