    Re: Starcraft II

    hints? hmmm

when u start start make as many drones as u can, pylons(only when necessary) and as many gateways as u can, why this? simple lots of drones = lots of money, if u got 1 gateway with 5 zealots coming will be slower than have 5 gateways with 1 zealots coming each, use control+numer as hotkeys to keep production coming, generally takes about 15-20 mins to the others to get anything that flyes( that was at least online at starcraft) if u play with pc keep using zelots (pc is generally kind of slower unless its campaign, then prepare for everything they will most likely alredy ahve the units) make sure u do the speed upgrade for the zealtos and after that other upgrades(even, shield, armor , etc) this way will be faster to attack and kill other units and their defenses if they got any at their bases .

i think count per zealot was

    1 zealot = 2 marines
    1 zealot = 3 zerlings

just with the speed upgrade it grows

btw at start is always difficult but if u go through it and keep those 3 basic things(of course when u can support those 3 things keep doing ups and other stuff) u will most certainly win

Without speed? Roaches without speed aren't scary. Forcefields waste them and zealots can actually catch them if you try to kite. And 1 stalker + a GS in the mix and you're going to lose without a huge ball of them, every time. And since most of the PvZ builds involve blocking with a fast zealot/stalker/sentry, the ramp can be held until more units are ready. I have a really high diamond toss friend who said he's having a lot of luck with a FE nexus-first then gateway/forge build against zergs, you can easily work up to 6-gateway support on 2 bases so if you do something gimmicky like mass early roaches, you'll get contained in an instant against a 2-base toss and if you don't expand, you'll probably lose in < 10 mins unless the toss just BMs and takes all of the expansions on the map ;o

Yeah Zerg typical build now is to fast expand on what is it, 14? Allows Terran and Toss to start teching up and Toss to start their expansion. Good times.

Don't just memorize strategies, they only go so far. Practice, Practice, Pratice and Practice. Pick one or two Strategies for each match up e.g Terran vs Terran, Protoss v Terran etc and practice them. Got a friend who plays? Practice custom games with him.

Scout, scouting is the most important thing in this game. Find out what your opponent is doing and thats half the battle right there.

Yeah, all my friends are getting the game now D:,
Sometimes I end up just wasting minerals whilst the opposing side just rush me with zergs or terrans and end up obliterating my voids.

But imma start scouting now, and practice.

    Re: Starcraft II

Do not make Void Rays, I repeat do not make Void Rays!!

Unless you're pretty pro with Micro and have a good build to get them, stick to Gateway Units + Collosi and/or High Templars.

Void Rays are too vulnerable, they once had the ultimate cheese title but now everyone knows how to counter them. They're good for harassment but not for army vs army battles.

Get Zealots, Stalkers and Sentries. Research Charge for the Zealots, use Guardian Shield and Force Fields with the Sentries and you'll mop up most ground armies.

    Re: Starcraft II

Yeah Micromanagement. There is two types of management in SC2.

Macro - making units, building pylons, expanding etc - all the big movements. Get good at this!

Micro - managing small units, probes, your army etc. If you're good at this it helps lots.

    OP race is OP :)

NesTea is about to win GSL2 without losing a single set. That includes 4-0'ing BoxeR in the semifinal.

your a fucking silver player that only watches GSL and MLG, you cannot call any race OP at all, there's a difference between what 99% of sc2 players can do then what the top 1% can.

The big advantages come from knowledge, not from > 400 APM micro.

    Also, bonus pools are awesome.

    Re: Starcraft II

If you play Zerg Omer, and I don't know if you do. Then it is true that at this moment in time, Zerg rule supreme. They are a very hard match up especially mid-to-late game where anyone with semi-decent macro can constantly pump out units and switch strategies almost instantly to deal with what they see.

Besides, Banelings are due a massive nerf, MLG is showing that right now.

I prefer watching it to playing it personally. I can call whatever race I want to OPed, that's an opinion. An opinion based on watching the top 1% is more well founded than playing in the other 99%. And hell the top 1% find the strats that the other 99% end up adopting anyway, if a race is OP to them it's going to be OP to the rest of the player base sooner or later.

I was just playing some Zerg, I did a speedling rush against a protoss since He didn't really block his ramps.

I might switch to Zergs now.

    Re: Starcraft II

Zerg are typically harder to play, I suggest watching some replays and reading some strategies before you switch.

You have to manage creep, larvae, queens and mass expand.
