The purpose of beta testing games is to help test and provide feedback. You need a system that can actually play the game.

To you and everyone else thinking about faking dxdiag posts; Fuck you, and fuck off. Most of you who get in never actually play the shit longer than a few hours and say "OMG TOO BUGGY", taking all the potential spots for us.

I wasn't actually going to do it and I didn't. Already got rejected.

I hope I got accepted. It said I had an above average chance of being accepted, and I did write a lengthy essay explaining my background with gaming. Let's hope they don't tl;dr it :junglejane:

EDIT: No email so far. Do they let you know if they reject you, or do they just not reply? :S

Submitted my application, got excellent too (woohoo). I can't tell if the last input box information contributes to your success (whatsoever) but be sure to post here if you make it into the beta positioning. It'd be nice to work with some familiar faces if a couple from RageZoNE are chosen.

Plus, I think the website can track certain things about the application being submitted, so faking the DxDiag.txt may not be the most viable option for acceptance.

Everyone gets an email once they complete an app thanking them for showing an interest (it most likely will show up in your spam folder). The beta will begin in the near future (probably 1-2 months), hence no one has been rejected/ accepted at this point.

If you do not receive an email thanking you for showing an interest in the beta, contact costumer support.

I actually disagree, the most ideal beta tester is always the person who is at the lower end of the required computer specifications. Any game can run on 16 gigs of ram, i7, and overclocked, but what they need to test is for those PCs of the low to average user, so they can make the game functional for everyone.

Thus, faking a dxdiag may actually hurt your chances in getting in.

The only thing they can get without using an external plugin is your OS type, build, browser type and version. That's about it.

Regardless of any of us making the beta-trials, I'm more excited for the actual release of the game. Good luck to everyone though. It'd be amazing if a couple of RaGE members were chosen and could relay information to the board.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online BETA SIGN UP!

For all of those curious regarding The Elder Scrolls Online, i.e beta dates, selection etc; Here is the FAQ containing all of this information.

I've quoted some key points below, that may be the biggest questions.

    What happens if I’m selected?

If you’re invited to test, you’ll receive an e-mail at the address you registered with for the beta. The invitation will include a download link for the game client. You should expect a download size of around 20GB, so it’s best to start downloading as soon as you receive your invitation.
    How do you choose testers?

We’ll select testers based on different criteria for each beta event depending on our needs for that test. For instance, we may invite players who indicated a preference for a certain type of content (PvE, PvP, crafting) or who reside in a certain territory for particular events, and for others, computer specs may play an important role. We’re not only looking for one type of tester or only for testers with top-of-the-line PCs; a broad range will be selected.
How long are beta events and when are they held?

At first, beta events will generally be held on the weekends, and each test will have limited windows of access to the game. You’ll receive your invitation in advance so you can make time to participate. While there will only be a few events per month early on, they will be held more frequently as we approach launch. As we progress through testing, we’ll also begin scheduling longer tests that allow testers to provide more detailed feedback on topics like progression.
