How can someone forget about Starcraft? Command and Conquer? Warcraft? Age of Empires?
They are true classic games that have the highest replay value then any other game. People are more likely to replay an RTS game then any other type. =P
Anyways.
RTS > RPG > FPS > Puzzle (Geometry Wars, Hexic, Bejeweled, etc.) > Action > Racing > Fighting > Flight Sims > Music (Guitar Hero, etc) > Sports
But if you were to look at my actual games it would be...
FPS > Action > Racing > RPG > RTS > Fighting > Flight Sims > Sports > Puzzle > Music
The reason for that is FPS are quick and easy. They take only a few hours for a good story. Same with action. Racing is mostly for the older systems when I was a big racing fan. RPG I get but they take me a while to beat so the reason why I don't have many, and not to mention I like to replay them. Don't have many RTS games is because well... I don't actually buy but DL them. And still I have a dozen of them and I replay them ALOT. There's always a flight sim out there that is actually good and I get it. Not to much though. Used to have tons for the PC but haven't played them for years. Sports I don't have much. Bought only one NFL game and the rest I just found. Never been a real big fan of them but I do enjoy the occasional NFL game. Also fighting I don't have much. Mostly just DoA and the occasional random one here and there. Puzzle and Music are a like in the since I don't have much. Got a few on the x360 for puzzle and Guitar Hero I & II for the PS2 (wife idea to get) and that's here. Though I do play a lot of the web based ones for those types of games.
That's how it goes for me.
And if you are wondering how many games I have. I'll make another thread for that. =P
