OH. One major change is that you can celebrate holidays around the world. For example. Boys' Day. You need to go to a Japanese person's town to celebrate it and get an item. :)

Nook n' Go as well, with it's obscene hours. 6AM-1AM.
Nookington's hours are horrible in this game.
9 AM to 9 PM.
While Nooks Cranny and Nookway's are both 9 AM to 11 PM.
