Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Every game released to only DS fails. If you compare DS games to any PSP GTA, you see the difference. GFX quality, story & how have it been copied from the original versions is something that DS can't never reach. I don't wanna sound like a fan boy, but:

Aha, look who's talking. Why did you post "gta habbo style" in the first place, if you once was a habbotard yourself?

It doesn't fail, games which are released on DS are good enough for a DS. You won't expect proper realistic features on a DS would you?
Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
I would never buy it, my DS is probably a mile thick in dust right now.. It all sounds like a stupid idea in my opinion!

What disappointed me so much was the fact that not only very few things were added, but that such fun things were removed. I had expected the game to expand on that, that you could buy more property, maybe buy buildings and that for example you would have to go after rent from time to time because some people won't pay up. It's just 1 of many, another would be to be able to buy land and build something there (this could be a basic thing, but that you could basicly buy a house and add garages, landing platform etc to it)
They could have done so much more to give us choices to customize our game a little, to give us the choice how we play etc.
But instead those things were removed. A real shame.
It is a really big shame, it was one of the main things that made me continue the game after finishing the storyline. Was a really nice system and with the improvements to technology jumping from the ps2 to next generation. It was quite a stupid idea not to include this and expand it so well. A large reason that after I finished the storyline I never turned it back on.
But to be more on topic.

You shouldn't be to worried about the art style. It should hopefully be old school top down GTA like the original awesomeness.

But GTA on the DS? Should be annoying to play.
You guys are right. GTA 4 is a pretty good game, but not much of an improvement. San Andreas
was out of the story and random but it was one of the best one. It was a bit dark, but the game features
and things were a great idea.
GTA on DS!?
That's just stupid, like for PS2/PS3 it's more fun to play but DS, that'll just be slow as fuck.
Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
This looks worse than that old E.T. game for Atari -_-
Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
I've played a GTA on GAMEBOY, one of the worst games ever.

I hate hand held consoles ;(
I'll pass this

Yes i know, but you forget that there are MANY countries which do not have an 18+ rating for games. Anything above MA 15+ is automatically banned.

Same, I was gutted to find out it was for DS >_>
Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
It's been forever since i've even touched my DS lite, i don't think it was a mistake buying it, i was just a little dissapointed with the quality of games, so no doubt this gta will be terrible (just like dynasty warriors for the DS). The best game that ever came out for DS was definately mario kart. The DS is good for taking away, it's more interactive than a psp (although i'm thinking i might have preffered a psp ATM) but for in the house it's my ps3 all the way, it's better than a pc :P
