This is from my Wii info post
    http://forum.ragezone.com/gaming-hot...ed-193269.html

and playing online is free but using the Wii "browser" costs money [ you have to buy browser]. The browser surfs the net. and you cant download gamecube games only the ones listed below. I kno my shit ^^
    [quote][Video game archive download]
This feature was pretty obscure till a few months ago. When nintendo officially announced it would be releasing a with its Wii a internet based video game archive that owners of wii could ascess through their wii and download classic games of classic consoles:
[NOTE:only certain games are available on each consoles, as you can see below this are the classics that either sold the most or people loved the most]
    N64*:Super Mario 64 ,Golden eye,Perfect Dark,Star Fox 64
Sega Genesis:Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Columns, Ecco the Dolphin, Gunstar Heroes, Space Harrier II, Toe Jam & Earl, Ristar, Dr. Robotnik

Wont be long. The Wii is 85% the same hardware as the last revision of the GCN. Only major difference is the upgraded CPU, GPU and the DVD player. Rest is nearly the same. So mod chips for the GCN will work with little if not no modding at all.

Modding consoles isn't warez. Makeing it so your console can play import games that you still have to buy isn't wrong at all. Actually good in some ways as it bring in more money for the companies. Look at how Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo (handhelds) are region free. It allows the customers to buy things that are only in other contries adding to their profits. Shame to see that the Wii isn't region free though.

Well most allow you to play *homebrew* games... or have the ability to played *imported* games. Some will allow you to modify the BIOS and give different skins to the console menu etc
