And sure it's harder to program for the PS3. It has CPU vastly more powerful and no one knows what the limits of it is as up till now Sony hasn't helped developers make games.
That's one reason why it's easier to program for the x360. It's because MS actually helped a lot of developers on how to program for it. That's why Gears of War is so damn awsome looking.
Sony has already stated that they will be helping out developers big time to push out 200 games by next March. So just wait.
And enough of saying something is better then what it really is. There is tons of info out there. Read all of it and stop being a fan boy.

I own a 360 and had one grand to spend on games so i bought a 360 instead because it looks alot better than the ps3 and more people own it. Gears of war ftw!
I do believe that in the big picture, the 360 is more powerful then the PS3, while the CPU power of the PS3 can't be argued, the use of such a quantity can be argued. What will it do for a game? How much CPU power is needed until you get to the point where you say "what the hell do we need all this power for?" i believe Sony went way beyond that point, and most of the power will never be properly used, right now all it has done is made it hard for developers to develop games, several developers haven't released games because the development costs are way to high to justify a release on the PS3, especially because it has much less users then the Xbox 360 has.
The PS3 has nice features, and it definetly is a really nice machine, but they are backed into a corner, they have a low userbase, the games are expensive to make, they don't have to many quality exclusives, and developers are backing off due to it, because the low userbase already guarantees them that they won't sell that many copies, the high costs will pretty much nullify their profit in most of their cases, and even if it doesn't, then creating a game for the Xbox 360 can get them way more cash, especially since Microsoft pays good amounts of money for good exclusives, and due to low amount of games less people buy the console.
The PS3 needs quality exclusives, and many of them, and they also need games to drop in prices, the 360 has a wide-array of older games for 20-30 euro, the PS3 pretty much only has 60+ euro titles, and quite a few can be found on the 360 for 30 or less.
The PS3 is backed in a corner while the 360 constantly keeps growing, it's getting exclusive after exclusive, and even when they can't get the whole game exclusive, then they just pay them off for exclusive content, like they did with GTA 4.

You can't even name all the advantages and disadvantages... not even a major one like the PS3 supporting 1080p from the start and the PS3 having a Blu-Ray drive.
