1000mbit/s? holy shit. In france the most affordable and best for me is 500mbit/ps.
Anyway on topic.... 8 GB is nothing since i have a 250GB xbox 360

I was just trying to be helpful. Every time I post on forums people always find something about my threads that is wrong. Yes I know I could have wrote more but I didn't. A staff member has already talked to me about that. I wasn't trying to make a big deal of the 8GB I was just trying to spread information. And for me 8 GB is quite a bit of space because I only have 10 GB on my Drive(Xbox 360). All I'm saying is that I was trying to be helpful. I don't know much about anything so this is how I try to be.
Re: You Will Need 8GB of Hard Drive Space for GTA: V

Most games take little to no space up because you don't install it all the time. The fact that this will take 8 GB just from an installation proves it's worth buying. The only way this will really affect anyone is if you have a small HDD like the Original XB360 ones that were 20GB. Other than that, you should be fine.
The PC version of MW3 is 14.4GB on my PC. So the estimate was correct.

Why would that be so different? The reason to install on the HDD is both for room issues (by not having to use 2 discs), but also because it drastically improves loading speeds. DVD's and BR's are slow as crap (the BR drives in the PS3 - or at least the original PS3 - are even slower then the DVD drives in the 360), with an open world it is impossible to preload far ahead, since the game doesn't know how you are gonna drive, so instead it constantly needs to load new areas and it needs to do it fast.
I remember that Test Drive Unlimited was not released on the PS3, because the BR drive in it was so slow, that the experience would be just terrible, and since Sony was still selling the 20GB back then, installing the whole game would have been a no go.

Yeah of course, but the Xbox version is different. Sorry for not specifying that.

All I meant was that PC Games usually take up more HDD space than consoles do.
Re: You Will Need 8GB of Hard Drive Space for GTA: V
8GB is quite small compared to those newest MMORPG being released by Korean companies.
Re: You Will Need 8GB of Hard Drive Space for GTA: V
only 8gb space required for this superb game , it only takes a little space for my hard disk .. can't wait for this .. :zippy:
Re: You Will Need 8GB of Hard Drive Space for GTA: V
8gb.. very reasonable I would say.
Re: You Will Need 8GB of Hard Drive Space for GTA: V
I have GTA 5 for a PS 3, and I highly doubt its 8 GBs.

Seriously? You do realize that textures are almost twice on the console than on the PC? So how could the game be larger on PC than on a console?

I've always thought games have better graphics on PCs than on consoles. Don't ask me, just do some research and you'll find that PC games require more HDD space. For example, GTA IV required 3.5GB on consoles, while on PC it requires about 12GB.
The GTA V console version was 17GB btw, not 8.
Re: You Will Need 8GB of Hard Drive Space for GTA: V
GTA IV is a bad example to bring up. It's just a crappy Console Port.
Re: You Will Need 8GB of Hard Drive Space for GTA: V
Actually GTA 4 on the Xbox is about 7 GBs (according to The Pirate Bay), and it's probably compressed. GTA 5 is just like GTA 4 but with more features. It cannot be 8 GBs because of such HQ textures and new features. It cannot take lesser space than GTA4.
