hamachi = for lazy kid admins that open unserious max xp max drop servers and no custom made modifications for 2 days who don't wish the best for their server and have no 5 minutes time or patience to read a guide how to open router ports so everyone could simply connect to their server.Because of that players have to do extra work to connect to your server(must install hamachi and join your virtual network)

no-ip = free ip domain that never changes.for example if your w-lan router loses connection or gets restarted your global ip will change everytime.this means,if you would like to have server, everytime this happen you would have to edit all over again all ips in server configuration and client so players could connect to you.with no-ip,you create your "ip" that will never change because it will automatically transform/update your any new IP address that has changed to domain name you have registered.

if you want to use no-ip,you have to find a guide how to open router ports(allow connection to your network from other users),that has been posted 76 million times already, because thats how much noobs ask this question in 1 week.

thank you for the accurate answer but one thing i want to know about no-ip configuration. is it applicable to run the MU server and client using no-ip?

by the way, i'm using wireless connection (globe wimax running 2mbps) i just want to know about no-ip if it is advisable for wireless connection and i didn't use any router.

(1)yes of course it is compatible with muonline server, client, website etc etc...only there is one annoying bug, that if you put in client main.exe your registered no-ip address it will most likely won't connect you to the server and give you disconnect. What you need to do is when you will be registering/creating your host name in no-ip website choose other subdomain like zapto.org or sytes.net or hopto.org and use very short letter combination for client because if i remember right if whole no-ip domain will be longer than 14 digits it won't connect you to the serverGood thing is that you can create multiple hosts,so you can make one for website as long as you want so players could remember host easily for example bestmuserver.sytes.net and than create another short host for client main.exe for example j1j2.sytes.net(<-- thats 14 digits). All hosts you create at no-ip site will redirect players to your pc.

(2)i am not aware of globe wimax, but i am pretty much sure that it is a router...a wireless one and your pc/notebook connects through wi-fi to it.open command prompt tool at your windows (if u have win7 just search for "cmd") and write "ipconfig" and look for "Default Gateway ip" and if there will be one, enter that ip in your internet browser and it should open your globe wimax router settings configuration and there you will be available to open ports.

also 3Mbit is slooooow, and i mean not download rate 3Mbit,but upload rate what is in most cases 5 times slower than download rate.if you will have website and server season6 with shitloads customs and 1000 items on the ground...well enjoy no-lag gameplay with 5 people

ps: if you find my posts helpful, press "like" to thank me
