! About SQL on x64 bit architecture

Hey all good people. I have a question to make everything more or less clear.

Let us assume that I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 edition.

Is it OK that I would like to use SQL 2000 for 97d server or season 2 server? Or should I use SQL 2008? Why?

When I tried to install SQL 2000 on x64, I got message that says SQL have compatability errors with this OS...

You can search for one with 64 bit.
But I don't remeber if there is SQL 2000 64 bit.
Or just use SQL 2005 ..
But you will have a problem with the editors ( mumaker, czf)

    Hello.

I already have installed MSSQL2000 on Windows 7 x64. You have to run SQL installation from SQL_FOLDER/x86/setup/sqlsetup.exe.

And it works fine? What server version you are running on SQL? You haven't got any problems with MuOnline and Ranking databases connection with server? Everything is perfect with compatability with SQL 2000 and x64 bit OS?

Everything works fine, MuCore, MuMaker... I use S2 and S4 files and I had no problems with MSSQL2000 on Win 7 x64. Dont worry about it.

    - Yes you can use SQL 2008

    For example:

    - Download SQL 2000 SP 4 Patch (choose version 64x or 32x) - Download: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 4 - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
