    Combining textures for models

    Hey everyone!

I'm trying to convert the models and textures used by MU to some reasonably known format (don't really care which one). However, when using Pentium Tools, I get one model with the animations but more than one texture. Is there any way of combining the textures into a single one? I've tried using the SMD tools provided by Valve to look at the UV map of the model generated, but there does not seem to be one and it would be very inefficient to do this by hand for every object.

Are there any suggestions or some place where I can get the models with textures (don't really care which version of MU)?

    hey,
saw ur post now.. well (dont really care which version: thats not a good answer cus new versions = new maps = more models = more textures)
so tell us what version u want.. also there is already someone who did this and converted all the models 1 by 1 and in seperated folders i think so then u just search for .jpg and .tga and drag them all out to a folder and there u go.

    Re: Combining textures for models

I don't really care about the version as in anything above 0.97d works for me. I only want it for testing purposes so more models don't really help.

When converting to SMD I get one file per animation (which is very odd and messy) and one texture per object. AFAIK one can write Blender scripts to combine these and then export each object separately, but it's pretty painful. Thus, I was hoping that someone already did the job (I'm asuming wolfulus did it for his client in Unity as he should've encountered the same problem).

Also, the link you provided has no live mirrors.
