No do not turn it off but change its setting - use it only for windows programs... this is how you change its setting!
My Computer -> System Properties -> OR
Control Panel -> System ->
Then you go to Advanced System Settings -> Performance Settings -> Data Execution Prevention
Your current setting is: Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
You don't want that option, you want the DEP only for basic windows programs (or whatever that option says). There you go, computer still secure, and no problems with your gameserver.
This is very basic information tech.
