Dos prevent on Centos
hi,
i saw somewhere few years ago hrtr in RZ a good guide for limiting tcp connection per ip and forwarding a port (centos),
will be good to stop the flood to the core server... does anyone have a guide like that ? (it's something like 3 commands)
did not find it now \:

Re: Dos prevent on Centos
i want to use a remote centos server as a Proxy which will take port 44405 and forward it to XXXX ip on port 44405 and deny more then 5 tcp connection per an IP....
very specific XD
i will be happy to forward the X header too,so i can receive the player remote address (and not the centos ip)

Re: Dos prevent on Centos
Thats kind of confusing hehe , anyways i cannot help you with that , i have never used cent os , maybe you can google and find again your 3 codes or what it was.
But using windows server 2003 with ddos protection hosting server is great too :)
Good luck.
