I Have got serious problem in my servers.
the problem is that anyone can create user with same name
for example someone can login with user test and TEST or TeSt or any kind of case letters.
how da hell do i fix that damn problem?!?
i use s1 files.

on the serverside the problem is the joinserver.
on the website side i think the problem will be in the database / in the website core.
which website are you using?

you need to change the joinserver. I cant help in it because i never had Season 1server :D
But try with a season 6 or TitanTech joinserver (titantechlink manager) <- only try:D i dont know can be work with season 1... (change the dataservers and etc ports in the titanconf:)
are you sure the problem is on JS ?

Yeah, because the joinserver make the users to logged in..:D joinserver is the Login server... when you press enter after you write the username and pass.. the client send a request to the joinserver and the joinserver send the account data into the gameserver :)
but... you can change the joinserver i think not will be problem because the join only needed for the login :)
hum, can you give me another JS.. Without MD5 ?.....
Download the muengine s6ep3 free and you can turn on / off the MD5 in the config.ini

needed to works.. because its only a joinserver :) if the muengine JS dont will fix your problem try again with the TitenTech (link manager) joinserver.
ok dude... i've tried with both muengine JS and titantech js.. and the problem doesn't fixed... so i`m guessing the problem isn't on JS...

Mssql is the only problem,as website connects to mssql

but in the game he can login with both account...
i get this problem when my joinserver was incompatile / bad, after i changed is my problem was solved :)

Open Muonline database. Select "Tables". Then MEMB_INFO -> Designe Table. Put currsor on memb___id and then press button near Collation like in first attached img. Then In new window deselect "Case Sensitive" like in second attached img. If you have account like USER and user or similar you can get error.

You are the one who does not understand. What Webzen tried to say is that the problem lies in the database, not in the web neither the joinserver. The database is in fault for allowing usernames without differentiating between lowercase, uppercase or both in the first place.

so then i tried to do second way:
but it ain't working, the same problem happens... and people can still login with case letters!!Another way is to select "Case Sensitive" in VI_CURR_INFO database memb___id then you can creat users like USER, user, User, uSer and so on. But i dont test it and dont know it wont damage the game.
i have tried so far to replace the joinserver with titan tech and muengine but with no success... :S
other ideas?!! i really need help... how to solve it ?
