I have got a little bit problem with my client. I think this is a bug, but I may be wrong.
When i wear an excellent item i cant see the exellent item effcet on myself.
But when i wear a weapon i can see this effect.

As you said, it can be a bug in your main. try to find and use different main, maybe it will helps.
