im not sure but ... problem can be that u got XP and u must install frame networ kand such a like visual studio etc.
u can try changing ur service pack of ur pc from sp3 to sp1 or from sp1 to sp3 or to sp2 etc.
also be sure u didnt made any bad changes on data folder so there wont be crashes.
